Colossus is truly a phoenix. It emerged from the ashes as a bad ass hybrid. The spirit of classic Colossus lives in Twisted Colossus and my heart will always be with this iconic charmer of a roller coaster. To me it has been and still is the heart of the park.

This is one of the smoothest coasters I have ever been on. I went on July 3rd, and got in the early access time. Pretty much everyone headed here and stampeded towards the coaster. I pushed through the crowd and my asthma and made it on the fourth train. Totally worth it. BTW, thumbs up to my sister who never gets any sleep. She is in San Diego, and I was in Anaheim. She went straight from the end of her graveyard shift at Jack in the Box over to the resort and she took me and my little brother straight here. You made my vacation awesome Sis! (BTW, I am a Pennsylvanian, and July 3 was the only day I could go here out of the 3 days in LA. I am really glad I got to go!)

I totally thought that ride had 2 seperate stations/sides. I was super shocked to find out that it's all just one big ride! After you go on the right side, you go on the left side as well!

Jacob Danao also (at least in my opinion): Schwarzkopf has its "train like" sound while running on the tracks. Arrow Dynamics and Vekoma has their loud "clanking" sound before going up the lift and before going down the first drop.

I'm pretty sure most people when they see the ride from the parking lot, they might think that it doesn't seem intense. But when you get to that first drop, it gets real from there. Awesome ride.

When I first saw it from the parking lot I was almost disappointed at it seems a fraction of its former self. I miss that 2nd drop hill it used to have I was actually a little sad. What had they done to my beloved Colossus?? But it’s pretty bad ass! Don’t let the transformation fool you! It’s not for the feint of heart

One television show they didn't mention on the signs was "Wild & Crazy Kids." The classic version of Colossus was used as the basis of a game called Wacky Roller Coaster Spill. Seeing this new version of Colossus seems to give a new meaning to the word "thrill," and looks pretty intense. So intense, that if "Wild & Crazy Kids" was still on the air today and decided to try another Wacky Roller Coaster Spill...they likely wouldn't have it done on TWISTED Colossus!

More TomWilson I reckon Alton Towers will get one for SW8 in 2017, we already know they will build a ride with "timber truss construction" (basically a woodie) and as Merlin haven't wanted a woodie at Alton Towers until now, RMC and their awesome rides could be what changed their minds!

More TomWilson I Amy be wrong here but Nick Varney who owns Merlin has said that Alton will carry on with all investments without delay. Like the Air restaurant will come next year, possibly some extra theming on Air and by 2017 they want the hotel extended.

I went on Sat 23rd and it was a 4 hour wait line went all the way up and curved where the drop of doom exist was at... On top of that the ride was broken down for almost five hours... I wish I was able to ride it... As we were leaving the ride was back on... I got season passes so hopefully when I go again I could ride it...

Do you know what I find most funny? These RMC hybrids are just like Arrow mine train coasters brought into the future! The Arrow mine trains ran on steel track that was support wood, just like these RMC coasters! This cracks me up for some reason.
