Why didn't KZbin notify me about this video?? Come on!
@RonPratt5 жыл бұрын
I uploaded this as a private video a couple days ago, but didn't release it as a public video until today. This gives KZbin time to authorize and process the video so that I don't have any copyright strikes and when I release the video it is processed into full HD at time of release. If I release the video as soon as I upload it, it will not be full HD for a while. This makes for a better viewing experience for everyone. Nobody missed out. It was only released to the public today, 1/18/2019. Thanks for watching and God bless.

@@RonPratt have you tried scheduling your videos? If you schedule them the video can be processed and go through all of KZbin's metrics for ads, copyrights, etc. Plus you can just upload them and walk away. I upload mine up to a week in advance sometimes. Love the content and videos!

Ron your storage lot is as neat as your beautiful wreckers. Love that tire black on Wheels and decorations on truck. I got two great cars back in the 70’s from wrecks. A guy wrecked a new 1979 Buick LaSabre with only 20k miles and had no insurance. It was in storage for 3 years at 3 dollars a day. He signed the title over and I spent 2k to have the front drivers side fender and hood replaced and drove that car back and forth to college and then to first job. Traded it off in 1989.

@@mmrbeef I don't schedule per-say, but I do upload them as either private or unlisted videos several days or even a week ahead of my intended release date. I release new videos on Friday mornings CST. As you said, uploading them early allows KZbin to do their thing. The only difference is that I go in and manually change the video from private/unlisted to public. This is the first time I've had an issue with notifications not being sent and the release date being shown incorrectly. I've e-mailed Creator Support to see what might have happened. Thanks and God bless.

I did not realize how bad the frame was bent watching the recovery. It looks like it was hit broadside by another truck. The operator is so very lucky to have walked away. I live 10 miles South of the Covington,Ky. cut-in-the-hill on I-75 as it is known, it is just about a given that what ever gets wadded up there is a FedEx or a Swift. The talent level on the road today is appalling. I'm glad to be retired after 39 years. You do great work.

I can relate to the driver in that wreck. I also was in a bad wreck in the mountains of Pennsylvania. The owner of the recover business came out to me when me and my brothers came to clean out the truck. His words I will never forget. I want to shake the hand that God touched. He flat out told me there was no way I should of made it out of that wreck and yet I came out with not one broken bone lots of black and blue marks. I rolled the my rig down a 50 foot embankment taking out 34 tress. I was pulling a tanker. I was hit from the side by a minivan.
@stanpatterson50335 жыл бұрын
It's pretty remarkable that you came out of it that well. Please make the most of life going forward from that point (although, I'm sure you have already begun doing so). I have seen a lot of bad crashes in my journeys along I-80, I-81, I-79, as well as other interstates and other highways. Many people are not as fortunate in the aftermath of some accidents. I doubt we can stop all accidents from happening, but we can learn from them, and adapt after them. While of course it's in everyone's best interests to drive responsibly, sometimes their are outside influences that affect the situation. It's great that you are still with us and able to share your experience. Did you go back to driving afterward ?

@@stanpatterson5033 Yes I did go back driving I drove for another thirteenth years. I do cherish each day. The biggest wake up call one of my brothers that came out to get me past away of a massive heart attack one year later. He sat down in.my mother's chair and gone just that quick. So I was left feeling and still do my me I am the one that should be gone and not him. There is not a day goes by that I do think the Lord. I still have pictures of the wreck. It took them three days to get the rig out of there they had to build a road to get back to it. The amazing thing about the wreck it never broke one seal on the load they were able to save 75percent of the load.

He’s really good about it! However with it being stowed away properly every time saves time in the long run. When it’s go time and you need the equipment right now for critical lifts, your not fighting to find what you need. It also helps with inventory of the truck. Do I have all of the equipment back on the proper truck for next time? Did I get everything back from a job site? All of the rigging on the trucks are rated for different loads and most of the stuff is high dollar. You really don’t want to lose any of it.

Nice job getting that mangled mess reasonably straight on that flatbed. Curious if the insurance company sells the whole thing outright, or parts it out. From a financial perspective, I think it would benefit the insurance company parting it out rather than selling it whole - a bit more labor, but you end up with much more in the long run. I've never heard of insurance companies doing this, however - at least not with light vehicles. Great stuff as always, Ron. Thanks, and God bless.
@lightningdemolition19645 жыл бұрын
Insurance companies are not in the business of running their own salvage yards. If they sell it at a properly publicized auction they will get the market value of it as it is and let someone else have the headache of figuring out what works and what doesn't on the truck and holding on to it until everything sells.

One of the things that I appreciate the most about your videos, aside from the precision work that you do, is that they are not filled with unnecessary obscene language!! I am, as I assume you are, a God fearing Christian, I may be nearly 60 years old but I just see no sense in the language you hear in so many KZbin videos. Thank you for posting videos that are entertaining, not filled with filth, shows you attention to working safely for not just you and your equipment but everyone’s safety as well as the safety of your equipment, and the amazing skill that you bring to each job you do. I was surprised that they allow you to run lights and siren, here in Texas they do not allow this for the towing industry. I think it is a good thing that they allow it where you operate, here you take your chances and try to beat the other tow trucks to the scenes. I am curious how many rigs and what all does Midwest have in service? Are you one of the owners? I am impressed with how you teach the other guys tricks and add to their skills by treating them like human beings, you do well at showing respect to everyone that you deal from the people that work with or for you to the other first responders on the scene, you are a class, I especially like that you sign off of each video with “ Thank you for watching and may God bless “ Oh on the scene where this rig was destroyed you mentioned a tool that someone had built for you, it was between that cone and the blue strap, I remember that but I could not make out what you were referring to, i tried backing up and viewing several times, could you show a clear shot of what the tool was in an upcoming videos please Sir?

I remember this truck from the crash. You had to get it untangled from a guard rail, load it on a low boy but had to get permission from the firefighter on scene to cut the bracket holding the driver's side gas tank. Then you had to load said gas tank and other debris onto another lowboy. Isn't that also the video where your remote failed & you had to order a new one? Also I'm thinking it's the one where Talon was on scene with the rotator and deferred to your expertise to take control of the job when you arrived?? And the driver walked away from the wreck.
