Yeah I just learned of that hearing taking place, the Tipper Gore comment was HILARIOUS and ALSO BLOODY BRILLIANT in the way he explained how there music isnt geared toward a negative life style but that the songs have an individual meaning with each one they write and giving fans a glance into there lives.

..... and the difference is Twisted Sister never put out a bad album, don't get me wrong- I was a huge Iron Maiden fan but by the time Live after death was released, their best work was behind them, Number of the beast & Powerslave were genuinely Epic albums!! I still listen to TS and smile like a kid looking in a toyshop window at Christmas. I never would have thought there would have been a day that I'd have said ' I don't listen to 'Maiden much there days' 😕😞. I wish Twisted Sister had stayed together longer & released more stuff....but it makes videos like this all the more special.

Well, this was my first concert. I went to see TS, but Maiden came on after and holy shit. Still love TS but became a fan of Maiden that night. Still though, Dee Snider is a great front man and crowd hype was great.

Oh boy it doesn't any better than this twisted sister live in 1984 I was a 10 year old headbanger I got into heavy in 1983 when I was 9 years old my favorites were ozzy quiet riot and motley crue and wasp and my favorite dio. It was great being a metalhead in the 80s it was great I saw this on MTV I saw so many premier videos on MTV all the heavy metal you can take was in the 80s that's when heavy metal ruled the world. Now days music sucks hell the times suck now that's why I live in the 80s times may have changed but I haven't and I never will long live heavy metalllll. One of the best live bands ever rest in peace a j pero one hell of a drummer. As twisted sister says I'll never grow up.

Stay Hungry was my first T S album when I was 15 in '84. That lead me to looking for all TS albums, and I got all of them.

MTV aired this back in the early 80's back when they would play live concerts on Saturday night. I recorded this on my parents Betamax, and its crazy that I still remember every second of this concert, from watching it so much in the 80's as a kid!

My wife, my sister, my sister’s bf, and I caught them opening for Dio at the Worcester Centrum in MA. One of the best shows we saw that yr. Dio was absolutely amazing, Vivian Campbell on lead guitar. TS was awesome. Dee had to jump off stage beat on a guy for throwing stuff. Lmfao. God, I love the 80’s. 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

Saw this tour twice in six months. Once they headlined with y&t and dokken. The second time they opened for iron maiden powerslave. Kick ass both times.

Fucking AJ was so beast. They're all great players, but for me... AJ gave them musical (live performance) credibility. He was the core of their live performances. Back then I was brutally hard on drummers and even then found nothing lacking in his playing. Much admiration. 🤟🧙♂🤟

OMG The bassist at 15:51 is so kickass! I remember seeing them on this tour..I thought the bassist looked like the drag queen you did NOT want to mess with! He was so badass! Great show..but the most awesome thing was that Dee came out afterwards and greeted all the fans along the barricade. He wanted to meet us!! Never seen that before. Love you Dee! Respect!
