I completely disagree, he looked them in the eyes and said sorry, that’s more than 99 % of what victims families get, most killers deny they even killed or won’t apologize, or even taunt the families. He’s probably also a psychopath or narcissist so that might be why it appears as insincere, killers are bad at apologies because they lack empathy

I mean, sure, poor grandfather... until you think about it... I mean, he waited till the NEXT DAY to call the cops.. for a girl that was supposed to be gone 2 minutes ffs. If he had actually done his job as a caregiver, she could be alive. Firstly, if she was going 2 houses down to "return a notebook" he should've known that's a bullshit excuse, so he should've at the very least stood outside and watched her. But the worst is waiting the next day to call the cops, after calling 3 people in 3 different states... like hell, if he'd called within the first half hour, she could possibly be alive still... he fucked up and should feel guilty tbh.

@@Yourdeliverysucks Unfortunately girls are far too disproportionally represented with these kinds of crimes. Women and girls are killed more often by their partners than males, and they are also subject to being targeted more often by strangers for sexually motivated crimes and murders. It is important that these crimes against women and girls be recognized as a hate crime, because these murders often are motivated by the hatred of women/girls and the desire to dominate and disempower them. It is important to recognize the targeting of women and girls as victims of these horrific crimes in order to address the contributing issues of misogyny and the disrespect of women and girls in our society.

He is a high schooler who smokes weed and thinks he's a badass, it makes perfect sense. Even the non-sheltered kids are still pretty sheltered in a world/life experience way at that age. Also, when you want to seem like you are telling the truth to an authority figure, sometimes it seems like admitting to actual lesser wrongs will convince them you are being truthful with them. But people do this to "seem honest" when lying as well, so its like 50/50.

They are trained in this and to do it exactly like that so people keep on doing mistakes and then pick it apart one lie at a time. The police usually know early on. I'm not sure how many are aware of the nationwide amber alert right now but my area has a missing 15 yr old autistic teen named Sebastian Rogers, missing since mid February from Hendersonville, TN. Hendersonville is a quiet suburb outside of Nashville. If you google his name you can read all the news stories and case details. I know it's not related to Dani's story but just wanted to spread the word. Sebastian has been missing much too long with too few leads. His family and community want answers.

Their house has not been searched and they were allowed to leave the area. I mean, WHAT?! Poor Sebastian 💚
