I too am a blind cook. I lost most of my vision about 5 years ago, around the age of 40. I learned to read braille and made braille labels for all my spices and canned goods. This allows me to be more independent in the kitchen. I enjoy listening to your videos and have tried several of your recipes. Keep them coming, thanks!

I just want to say a huge thank you for these videos. It has been a really rough year and a half (I’m legally blind, my toddler was diagnosed with cancer, and we lost a baby boy at 5 months pregnant etc) I tell you this because your videos give me a place to just relax, escape from the hard for a few minutes, and get me excited about cooking again. My toddler loves to sit on my lap and talk about what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your time and talents and especially your humour and for being human and realistic that you don’t have to be perfect to enjoy cooking and sharing that with people. PS I love how supportive your husband is with you doing these videos. It reminds me of my husband’s constant love and support and makes me smile. Merry Christmas!

Speaking of grandparents, let me first say how very much I love and miss them. They were such an important part of my life, even influencing who I am and what I grew up to be. My papa had cancer, and that’s what took him, but I would stay with them for days and sit with him, walk beside him in case he needed gramma and then I could run and get her quickly. And I also brought him his pills 💊 in a little soufflé cup along with a glass of water. He always called me, “Papa’s little nurse”. So I grew up to be a nurse that works with cancer patients. I am an RN and I work for Hospice. My gramma’s influence took me into the kitchen for cooking and lots of baking. Anyway, short story long 😂, all of that to tell you a quick little fact about my gramma. She ate white bread with: butter, RAW onion slabs covered with salt and pepper. Now that is one thing that did NOT rub off on me. Might be good, I don’t know, but I’m never going to try it to find out. Love you guys ❤and thank you for listening to me carry on and on. Memories tend to do that to me❣️

Your humor is so very important to a marriage and especially when you do something like a KZbin together. I think you have some of the best meals and have not yet found any I would not be happy to make. I make my beef stew pretty much the same as this one except in place of the wine I use a bottle of Guinness dark ale. It imparts a wonderful deep flavor and you can not tell it is ale in there. Yummy.

I usually watch you (and Steven) on my TV and I have no way to comment at the time they first come out. I have to tell you that the Baked Ziti (Rotini) Casserole is AMAZING. The first time I made it I only got one little serving then my son (35yrs old) and my husband demolished it! So I made it for my church's monthly lunch. I doubled the recipe and took 2 large pans. There was only about 13 or so people. I brought less than half of the last pan home and it never made it to the fridge. It is a small bit ahead of the Killer White Chicken Chili which I have made several times as well as the White Chicken Enchiladas. Needless to say I watch as soon as a new video comes out! Thank You and May the Lord bless you and keep you. "May the Lord lift up His Countenance upon you and give you peace."

I’m a newer subscriber! I absolutely love your videos! I love Gracie Lou, my cat is asleep in my lap as I type. She’s 3 months old. I’ve made your Sloppy Joe Casserole! We loved it! I’m making the Smothered Chicken recipe that your Brother in love David shared. I know we will love that too!

I am so glad to know you have fails! I love to try new recipes and love watching you and Steven cook. Similar to my husband and I. ❤ A fun fact when I fail a meal; my husband will eat anything; but will say… we don’t have to have this every night, do we? Which is his way of saying, I don’t care for this. Merry Christmas

@@MandyintheMaking i deleted a comment i made yesterday about my cat passing away. Not even a heart from you. Pretty lousy. We are mourning our 15 year old cat passing yesterday. Was just posting it to let you know we had an older cat too. Merry Christmas Mandy!

@@elaineh7993 if I would have seen it, I would have replied. I'm sorry I missed it! I sat down to answer comments once yesterday and really haven't had a chance to do so today. I'm so sorry to hear you lost your fur baby and this close to Christmas 😭 But please don't ever assume I'm deliberately ignoring you. I'm sorry that I can't answer every comment as they come in. I'm just one person and it's a very busy time of year. I pray you have a good Christmas Even through this tough time of losing a valued and loved family member ❤️

I'm a little late getting around to watching this video, but I am DEFINITELY making that beef stew! I'm not a fan of cooked celery, so I'll probably replace that with some celery seed instead. But something I also love in beef stew is green beans and fresh mushrooms. I think those might take this over the top for me. I can't wait to give it a try! Thanks for all you guys do! 🥰

Great video! Your presentations are very thorough and entertaining. I almost always get a laugh and many smiles. Just some real life of happy people. Just love you guys! Thanks for sharing. Hey Steve, my first recurve bow was a Bear and one of their first compound bows , a grizzly 2. Neither had sights or any other bells on them. It's amazing what you can do shooting instinctively. God bless all here.
