My son and I made the firecracker chicken yesterday. Didn’t have Frank’s but substituted a mix of Tapitio’s and Cholula. Man it was good! Son wants to try Frank’s next time. And I did cut my chicken in a bit bigger strips!😂

The butter left in the steak pan would be great poured over broccoli crowns or lay a piece of toasted Texas toast in the pan (as a sponge)! Stephen is really in his element when he cooks. I made this tonight for dinner, (minus the rotel in the Mac-n-cheese because my son doesn’t like whole tomatoes lol but I’m gonna try it the next time he’s not home)! We used NY Strips and our own steak blend that we love to make the butter sauce and OMG! So good! The steaks were perfect! My son really loved the “kick” in the macaroni (I added extra cayenne since I didn’t use the rotel). He says I need to start making it that way all the time 😂 Putting it in the crock pot is genius..so much easier. Thanks for the awesome dinner! It’ll be added to our regular dinner rotation! 😊

My beloved mom had to feed five hungry kids on a very limited budget - as you were pouring the sauce over the steaks, it reminded me that Mama would put several bread slices into the pan to sop up the juice after the meat was done (thus she could stretch the meat a bit, too!). We loved "soppy" (I still make it whenever we do steaks, 60+ years later!). Love your videos! Bless you all for sharing delicious Southern recipes with us!

Oh, I’m definitely trying that Firecracker sauce!! I think I’ll add a lil cornstarch to thicken it up and toss some actual wings in it this weekend for Super Bowl Sunday! I also figured out through reviews that the famous Mambo sauce is basically sweet chili sauce, ketchup, and bbq sauce combined, so I may try that too! Thanks for sharing!:) 👍
