Ahh, I remember when I first got Pokemon Y. When it first came out, me and my cousin went to Gamestop and both bought new Nintendo 3DSs and I got Pokemon Y while he got Pokemon X. We both started at the same time to see who could progress the farthest and he got soo mad at me because since I worked security at the time, I would stay up late playing a lot during downtimes at work and within two weeks of starting, I got two legit Shiny Pokemon in the wild. I think the first was an Ursarang and the second was an Eevee (if I remember correctly).

When a Pokémon is dead u have to release it, one catch per route and if u miss it the route is dead and some nuzlockes can’t use healing items Just super stressful and to him not great streaming content because at times you can have a lot of dead time grinding for levels

@@Progamer1013 I loved Pokemon X/Y way more than I did Sun/Moon. I played through Moon once just to say I did it and never gone back only to transfer all my Pokemon I could from Moon to Alpha Sapphire via PokeBank. But I have gone back to Pokemon Y several times and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire even more. A few of the Pokemon in Gen 7 were pretty good but the gameplay itself was way too handholdy and a really big turnoff for me. I couldn't get invested into the story all that much because of it. I also did not like the new Z-Move feature and was annoyed that they dropped Mega-Evolutions in favor for it. I am all about them trying to do something different but Sun/Moon tried to change soo much and introduce too many new features/concepts all at once that also distracted from the story. I mean, they had the replacing Mega-Evolutions with Z-Moves, replacing the whole Gym Battle system with the while Island Trial/Totem Pokemon thing, replacing HMs with "Ride Pokemon" which...while I will admit was a neat concept...it was not needed. And let's not forget the whole Ultra Beast stuff. Combine it with the over-handholdy nature that made the game way too simplified in favor of newer younger players (It wouldn't have been bad if it was a setting that could have been disabled for older returning players) and it made Pokemon Moon a one-and-done playthrough for me and out of all the games I have played (I haven't played Gen 8 because I don't have a Switch) it would be the one I would be least likely to play again.

@@bloodwolfgaming9269 You could still mega evolve though. I like gen 7 because for one, the region was interesting as was the entire story. Gen 6’s was bland, circular, and boring. There was also almost zero endgame content, something that shunned me from replaying pokemon Y. Gen 7 also had more pokemon not including the alolan forms, which I found a cool spin on the old favorites. As for Gen 7’s endgame, the ultra beasts were awesome and got even better in US and UM. Meanwhile, Y and X had NO secondary game, the first time ever in the series where this occurs. To put it simply, I view gen 6 as a test bed or prototype for how AS and OR would function on the 3DS hardware as a result from what I mentioned above. That is why I do not like it. Compared to gen 7, which is a fully fleshed out pokemon game in my opinion.
