It's definitely a double edged sword lol. I tend to pop my stats into an IV calculator anyway so it makes it much faster, but now I care even more about getting the perfect catch. Hours wasted and I'm only playing on difficult 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, having beaten the game, the story is far better with the non-edgy mode. Edgy mode just feels like they were trying too hard sometimes.

@@rtiq270 Sums up just about any fanmade edge content. Eventually everyone always grows up to the point where they realise edgier doesnt mean cooler or better. Though it usually does make it much much funnier for all the wrong reasons.

tbh the story really wasn't all that edgy. The closest thing to it was around the arc where the player dies and is resurrected, but overall I would say it's more the writing actually not ignoring the idea of criminals killing people as pokemon tends to do.

Having a pokemon so early with the defense curl + rollout combo is kind of nutty.. especially because using rollout after defense curl doubles the power it starts at (only an hour in, so if someone tells him this in the stream I don't know it yet)
