This is a 100% real FIRST TIME Kpop and BTS Reaction by Charlie the Twitch Vocal Coach and Opera Singer. This vocal Coach reacts to BTS with real technical feedback and admiration for what the group does. Not only is he a streamer that talks about vocal technique, but the commentary is also taking the dance moves into account and how difficult it is to really do what these guys do. Their high notes are fantastic, and the BTS dance moves take everything to the next level.
Twitch Chat decided that these would be the best videos to hear FOR THE FIRST TIME:
"소우주 (Mikrokosmos)"
"BTS COMEBACK SHOW"
"DUM Music Bank 0523 ep784"

This song is 'Mikrokosmos', a fan dedicated song that is part of the 'encore' part of their show. They dress in 'chill' clothes and play with ARMY (fandom name) and usually sing-a-long with fans. If you plan on reacting more to BTS live (which I hope you will) let the fans know what you are looking for and they will give a ton of recommendations. Often they would recommend the latest awards shows because they are mind blowing, but there are many other concert performances that provide a rounder and more informative measure of their vocal skills, and adaptations to the situation they find themselves (like rain, collapsing stage floors, plastic slides, voice cracks, illness, etc. being the true professionals they are.

One of the best things about BTS is that sound amazing live often times even better than a studio production. They actually have trained for years to be able to dance and sing simultaneously. They have shown video of them singing while running on treadmills or exercising. Most kpop groups do not sing live while performing but BTS have felt performing artists should be able to do it. While every group uses back tracking BTS does sing live for their performances.

kpop in general has a heavy influence from ballad and pop because that's their preferred popular music. vocal ability/strength is a bragging point in kpop. So their male vocalists tend to specialize. And with time they keep extending their range. The groups ALWAYS have a belter.. Mikrokosmos is always sung at the end because it's a song for the fans talking about their bond. So they like to say bye to fans with such a song.

This last year has been about keeping up with Angelina Jordan and watching everything I can about BTS. Probably for the same reason. Both are endlessly creative so you never know what you will get. Genre defying, constantly transformative but always recognisable. BTS from the RAP line Cyphers to individual albums. It's all brilliant no matter what genre, and as a lover of dance they are exceptional. From Jimins contemporary lyricism to J Hopes brilliance combining flow with sharp isolations. Every member has learned to sing in their own style, blend beautifully. Then there is Angelina. Almost static on stage yet she hypnotises. Watching her with a mike from 18 months old fearlessly sing songs by every great vocalist. Making her own arrangements from 9 years old and her jaw dropping cover of I PUT A SPELL ON YOU with the jazz band in the studio....she has been a revelation. Now 17 her parents are at long last allowing Republic Records to push her out. 4 long years wait. Her international fan base has built from U tube. Norway knows her from when she entered Norways Got Talent at 6 with a Billy Holiday song. She was 8 by her win. BTSs 7 members and Angelia represent 8 of the most interesting talent on earth at this time. Their back stories almost as interesting as their music...though Angelina is still a baby at 17.

I'm always excited to learn more about music/vocals in context to BTS! They have such a huge & varied discography. Looking forward to learning more :] Tips re: copyright with reacting to BTS: - any MNET live performances are likely to get blocked (for YT i think some have avoided this by editing tricks - blocking the MNET logo, mirroring the video, etc.). - any video that comes from the channels BANGTANTV and BIG HIT LABELS will probs get copyright CLAIMED but not blocked, nor will you get a strike (be sure to include the Big Hit logo intro of the vid) - any other live performances found on YT is a toss up; it depends on where it comes from (some of their US TV show performances get blocked, but not all of them - they're definitely worth watching though)

I mean, I came to see your reaction to BTS, but I'm happy that I also got to hear such a nice thing being said about my mothertongue. rant start - As a German speaker (Austrian), it's so nice to hear somebody call my language beautiful. I understand that some dialects sound really harsh, but that's really regional. Austrian dialect especially is actually very melodic (according to Germans I've met). German is a fairly consonant heavy language with guttural or rather "back of the throat" sounds (ch, r,...) mixed in, so it can be made harsh easily, but it also means it's really well suited to music that is typically performed without a mic (musical, opera,...) and rap, as well as slam poetry. Some dialects drop almost all consonants though, so dialects are really varied to the point where we don't understand each other. I'm glad it's appreciated! - rant over Also, just found your channel earlier today because of the Dan Vasc video (which you should do more of because he's a beast), and I'm definitely going to check out your discord!

Oh, my heart. I'm German expat, living in New Orleans. My German is 'proper' high German. We lost our regional dialect about 90 years ago. I think German is nice language. We name things proper, no confusion, ever. Any language tone is based on emotions. I don't think any of us sound like the always angry hitler, despite the abundant use of the 'Z' > Tset. lol I'm also a 100% fan of BTS. These guys are lovely, very talented and trained humans. Beautiful inside out. They are 'perfecting' their artistry daily.

@@heyrobwest3908 Actually, yes, I appreciate his appreciation and willingness to dive in and get to know the guys and share his thoughts. His words and body language are respectful and open and he is still reacting to their content and being open to new things, which is brave. As for the "chopping the hell out of BTS performance".... I don't know if this video from 5 months ago was early in his youtube experience or not, but I can tell you there are MANY reactors who come in to BTS doing the EXACT same thing because other labels and artists DO copyright strike if the original source file is not clipped and edited like this one was so they do it in their first BTS reactions until they know better.. I am not going to attack him for it, esp. as he was educated as to BigHit/Hypbe's approach and has modified his editing of the clips related to BTS content and is STILL being very respectful and appreciative of the guys despite receiving criticism on his editing technique. Attacking someone for their honest mistake is very unnecessary and contrary to what BTS embodies and encourages of ARMY and the world population in general. I have made and will continue to make plenty of mistakes myself. Yesterday's me is still me, and that's OK. And just like this guy seems to be doing, I am going to try to continue to grow and do better in the future. I may not succeed, but I will try. Hope you do as well. Thank you for your passion.

BTW I’m so glad you finally discovered Time Magazine’s Entertainer of the Year 😁 Better late than never.

You should've explain to this idiot but his first name is not Kim and his family name is not Taehyung. He is one of those idiots that would read a list of their names and say half of them have the same first name?

Mikrokomos is usually the last song of the night..What ever country they perform in, they always include that culture in their singing, by never leave out Korea..😁.. BTS is flexible, they will learn the language, before they go on their world tour..💜..This is a song for Army {fans} if you hear the lyrics.😛..They practice on the Treadmill.👅..

The loud backing track is different depending on what show they go on. One show makes all artists lipsync, one puts the backing track on full volume and some there are none and you can hear them breathing onto their mics (which I like the most of course)

They used to train by singing while running on treadmills, haha. Then just general dance and singing training 12-15 hours a day for years. I'm not sure I have the energy to train like they did.

Mikrokosmos is one of three BTS songs picked to be on NASA's next trip to the moon. BTS's names also made it to Mars on the Perseverance Mission. Sign up with NASA to join them on Mars and the moon.

Mikrocosmos was actually an encore, closer type song. Thus is the end of the show. This particular song is more like a giant hug to finish with. Look for Idol or Dionysus live to see how they open.

BTS interview with TIME magazine : •Whats K-pop ?... RM (Leader of BTS) answered ---> "We dont want to limit this music or our heart to this boundary called "K-Pop". J-Hope --->"It's a possitive thing that the Korean culture keeps growing and I think it's important to show our best music and performance, If that's something that can contribute to that expansion." RM ---> ".....We're just some boys from Korea who love music and performance. Thats it". ✨💜💜💜✨ *Ps: Just because they are sing in Korean language it doesnt mean straightly "K-Pop" ???... 🤷🏻 K-pop itself is an Industry music in General. While BTS music is a whole various music genres (Not just rely on one "certain" box like western and others kpop fans said) thats also ONE of the reason why BTS is HUGE now 🙏🏼

I love this. We listened to more Kpop from that stream and reached a similar conclusion actually. The styles are so vast! Seems a little inappropriate to generalize a whole country's music to that one name.... So is the way of globalization though.

YES, PRAISE JIMIN MORE 💜 He's a beast on stage aka Stage Presence King & Performance Master, King of Kpop, the most popular Korean idol and therefore receives lots and lots of hate. I love to see how every professional I've seen praises him so much objectively and unbiased, until they fall in love with him 😅 P.S.: BTS are great, very diverse and most importantly they give their 100% to the performance for the people who support them.

I’ll give you a quick summary of why BTS is huge . Their huge because they aren’t your normal kpop group . Not even your normal boyband . Bts fans sometimes don’t like to put bts with kpop or boyband categories even tho they are the biggest boyband / kpop group in the world right now . Mainly because of how different they are to other groups, western artists and the term “ boyband “ comes with insults and stereotypes such as people thinking they don’t write their own music, only for teens etc. So BTS is is acronym for the korean name “BANGTAN Sonyeondon”. Which translates to “BULLETPROOF BOY SCOUTS “ That name has a meaning . Basically bts is a group that wants to use their music and platform to spread positivity and connect with people of all race and gender while teaching people music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of your race , age or gender . They also go by “beyond the scene” or Bangtan boys . This is something kpop fans and Armys always want to teach people especially since kpop groups tend to get a lot of racist hate comments sometimes because of their looks , called girls and other homophobic insults . Over the years BTS has tackle topics in their music such as mental health and suicide ( taboo topics in Asian culture ) anxiety, loneliness, politics , women’s empowerment , Domestic Abuse , government , pursing your dreams and not living somebody else dream , differences between old and younger generation , motivation to youth , socio-economics , self love , self care and struggles and motivating people , Etc . they want their music to connect anyone regardless of your age : kids , teens , adults , elders etc Also bts fanbase actually a lot more diverse in age and gender then you think . Majority of the fans are over 21 despite how many screaming girls you see on Social media. I’m 24 , kpop fan since high school. My co workers in their 20s, 30s and 40s are fans . Both male and female . Even John cena is a fan lol. Me personally I love them also because they contribute a lot to Asian representation since there a lack of Asians in American media , entertainment etc BTS is also known for contributing to charities and causes. They donated 1 Million Dollars to Black Lives Matter and the Armys ( bts fandom name) donated 1 million dollars as well in just 24Hrs. Total of 2million was donated. The Armys also take part in creating their own projects naming it after the members such as planting trees , donating money to children hospital , canned food drives and many more . Overall BTS is huge because they work hard to show people Music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of race , gender, religion, language or age. If you get a chance , I highly recommend checking out these articles that explain more about their music . You’ll understand better . www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/how-bts-are-breaking-k-pops-biggest-taboos-628141/ www.billboard.com/articles/columns/k-town/8098832/bts-lyrics-social-commentary-political www.nolala.com/en/artist-in-spotlight/what-is-the-meaning-of-the-songs-of-the-south-korean-k-pop-group-actually-about/ www.sbs.com.au/popasia/blog/2018/03/16/12-bts-songs-strong-social-messages
