Tommy Karevik is such a great singer. I love his original progmetal band Seventh Wonder. Mercy Falls is an astounding album. I first heard Tobias Sammet in Edguy like 1998, they replaced Hammerfall at a local festival. Been a fan of Edguy and Avantasia ever since. Ayreons albums are all conceptalbums. Into the electric castle tells a story of people from different historical times trapped in space. (sort of like that). The Human Equation tells a story of a man in a coma who talks to his different emotions portrayed by the singers. Super simplified but listen to it if you wanna know the whole story :) Its a double album, great story, great music. 01011001 (Y in binary) is about aliens, water, dinosaurs dying and a whole lot of explosions. And SPACE! Theres more, but those 3 are my favorite Ayreon albums and i know allmost every song by heart.

I thought it was too soon to introduce you to Ayreon and this song 😂 Arjen Lucassen, also Dutch, is the mastermind behind Ayreon. He writes rock opera’s and dream theater and then invites musicians from all over the world whom he admires to join his project. They are great artists, all of them. If you like it check out the Universe live concert they did in the Netherlands, the whole concert is amazing. For sure you will enjoy it! It features Floor and her sister Irene Jansen! Arjen gets the idea, then gets the vocalist and then he writes the part to suit the voice and character of the musician - sometimes taking them out of their comfort zone - but it works so well.

I would love to recommend some Avantasia (the Band of the "cocky captain" Tobias Sammet). It's also more of a project with many different Metal and rock singers. Maybe do "The Scarecrow" (live at Wacken Open Air) feat. Jorn Lande, it's a great start to Avantasia.

Ayreon is here. I‘m here. Fan for over 20 years now. Funny thing that I noticed today. I found Floor through Ayreon / Star One. I guess Arjen giving the opportunity to singers to be on his album really payed back through Floor now she’s in Nightwish. And that’s well deserved

You could just stick with more songs from this album, the source - all the characters are singing in different songs. By the way - I am pretty sure that Arjen Lucassen will see you reaction - and he might respond!! Arjen is a great great guy, great composer, musician and very at responding to reactors that are pro like you. I believe Arjen has been working with around 100 different singers from all over the world, during his different projects. Another cool thing - Arjen sometimes gets the inspiration from his listeners to continue the story👍

Micheal (yes, Micheal , not Michael, we are in prog originality here) Mills is one of the most versatile musicians I've ever heard. Listen to his solo project Toehider (and when I say solo it means that he plays or programs every instruments, a monster), he shows his amazing range in almost every songs, even one with a legendary C6 (I'm not that much of a range planet guy to class singers but it's still impressive)

For me Arjan is the Mozart from the modern times, because he’s not afraid to use old classics or go in a new musically direction. His creativity is huge and you think about all these musicians who joined him for so many years already , great! It’s not singing only, is acting also to. Yes, this is like "who is who" in prog metal. More of an achievement of gathering amazing musicians than a song. And the backstory is totally "fantasy mambojambo". "Space rock opera", if you will. But anyway a great spectacle that Ayreon shows usually are. Nothing bad in that, but maybe not my cup of tea. As far as l know, Arjen Lucassen must be a very nice person. He's very informative to the fans and it's impressive how he can get all these talents together. You will love Arjen's music. Most of it is like a rock operetta of a musical play. Loved your analysis and reaction to this wonderful composition from Arjen Anthony Lucassen. Another Dutch genius. That was him playing the guitar parts. I think you would be amazed at some of his musical creations. They are so much fun. You need to react to some of his live performances.
