Jesus was an absolute lover of women. He never treated women as lesser than or as bad people for having sex, or dressing "immodestly", he never told women that their only purpose in life was to look pretty for a man, and he told women that they have worth, and he also commanded men to love and honor the women in their lives. I was sexually assaulted at the age of 9, I didn't come out because I was scared, felt it wasn't important, It wasn't some insane assault or rape so I didn't feel seen, and I trusted the assaulter, he was my friend, and we were both nine. I thought for a while it was okay and when I figured out It fit under the definition of COCSA *(child on child sexual assault/abuse)* I tried to convince myself it was okay because I never said no, but I never said yes either, I said I don't know. I am still coming to terms with the fact I was assaulted and trying to heal but it's hard when people don't recognize it or its apparently okay. It has given me nightmares, touch aversion, trust issues, body dysphoria, a hatred towards myself, self harm, and depression. It has also led me to lose my belief and faith, I grew up Mormon but my horrible experiences led to me just not feeling any faith *( I don't hate religion, I just don't feel my own faith in god anymore and also It just didn't make sense to me considering religion was put on me at such a young age. I know some people actually go into religion after which if it's comfort for them I'm totally okay and support that!)* *(also the "what were you wearing?" argument is so dense and obtuse numb skull argument, what was I wearing? I was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans with grass stains, and the largest yellow jacket that even now at 13 its too big, also I was nine sex was not the first thing in my mind, drawing and doing something dumb involving climbing on play structures was the only thing I thought of)* Update:my mom found out, she was really understanding and turns out it runs in the family for this to happen especially to my siblings apparently (not going into detail it’s not my place to tell anyones story but my own) but turns out she suspected something going on but couldn’t pin point it, she could tell because I wouldn’t take showers, wasn’t brushing my teeth, and shutting myself off from everyone after it happened

I'm terribly sorry to hear that. As a person that wasn't assaulted, but was sexually harassed from different people from 7th grade to the end of highschool, I see where this pain comes from. Every time I would report about it, it would've been, "well boys will be boys." or "Teens are like that, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it." Or "if they do it again, let us know." At the time I thought it was okay because they never really did it again(the same person). When I got older to realize that one time of that behavior is too many, and I grew up with this kind of regret feeling. I tried religion as well, but I felt pointless for believing in it. (I'm in a household if something bad happens to you, you either push it through of believe in God. Therapy isn't really a thing unfortunately:/) And yes, the "what were you wearing" thing is so fucking stupid. Like bruh, certain clothes that I wear are the reason for my traumatic experience? Logic??? Sorry if I look like a person making it about myself, but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in that type of situation and you have my full support. ❤️

THIS! I refuse to see male doctors because they ignore everything you say and try to downplay it. I had a male dr that refused to get xray and MRI on my neck and told me I was "too young for xray waves" and "just needed to lose weight". I'm a normal weight and turns out that I have pinched nerves and severe carpal tunnel. even my grandpa told me to not see male drs. He said women are better listeners and have treated him with more compassion.

Female doctors can be garbage too. The first doctor that helped me with my very female problem was male. It took him maybe 6 months to solve a problem that I lived with for 15 years, when I'd previously exclusively seen women. I think in general, in the US, doctors are shit.

my ex gf used to touch me sexually at night while she thought i was asleep. she would also manipulate me into having sex after i would tell her no. it took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that i never gave consent for that and it was sexual abuse. it’s so unreal to read someone who genuinely believes that this is not rape. if you really care about your partner/spouse, you would NEVER violate them in such a way. i feel so bad for the people that these individuals date, they’ll leave with trauma for the rest of their lives (if they can even escape)

Wait... aren't you a woman? Wasn't your girlfriend attractive? If she touches you, that's a WIN, isn't it? If she wasn't attractive enough for you to want to be touched by her, why'd you even start speaking to her at all?
@axel_river_dr Жыл бұрын
@@ronnycollins9125 That isn't the point. It doesn't matter what the person looks like. It matters what they did. Their looks have absolutely nothing with their actions. I have been SA by someone who would be considered unattractive, their looks mean NOTHING when it comes to sexual assault/abuse. If the person didn't consent and expressed that they did not want to participate in sexual or physical activities then it should stop there, if they are bullied or manipulated into taking part in sex, sexual or physical activities, that is NOT considered consent, and if they're asleep they CAN'T consent. Looks mean absolutely nothing and the fact that you think it makes it a win to be assaulted/abused by someone attractive speaks volumes.

Happy pride month to everyone in the closet! It can be very nerve racking if you're about to come out but don't worry I'm sure you'll be able to do it and if you don't want to come out that is fine. if it's homophobic parents or just rude classmates then keep your sexuality a secret. There's still a way to celebrate though. one way is to just subtly put pride flags in places like you can change your pfp to a unicorn on a rainbow or an ace of spades if you're ace like me. I'm not exactly a therapist but I hoped this helped
