Me spending millions on Squid Game is a good thing. I paid 140 construction contractors to help build the sets and gave them steady work for a month. As well as over 100 part time helpers, 30 production people, lighting guys, camera, sound guys, etc. AND I gave all 456 contestants $2,000 for participating ($900,000) as well as the winner $456,000. My version of squid game did so much for my local economy and if anyone should complain it’s me because I’m taking a phat L financially on this video haha As always I appreciate the kind words Charlie! After everything I do, I barely make any money and im constantly having to borrow because im running out and accidentally overspending. Idc about $ I just want to make dope videos and help people

To say that 'money used for entertainment could have been used to help' people is a misunderstanding of how money works. Money used for entertainment doesn't disappear after being used. It goes into the hands of working people, preventing people from needing help in the first place because they have a job and are getting paid to make the entertainment for you. Charity work is great because it serves the people who are unemployed or underemployed, while spending money on entertainment (or any business really) employs people. The end result is the same: the people receiving the money buy food and shelter and other needs, which employs even more people who are selling them those things. Money helps people when it's being SPENT. The only way that money helps NO one is when you DON'T spend it
@thesleepydot2 жыл бұрын
wow you’re so right. this is a good take. and to expand on that, part of the reason that rich people are an infestation that needs to be eradicated is because they HOARDE the money that could go to other people. they HOARDE the money so other people can’t get paid, can barely live, etc etc
@aadarshroy32162 жыл бұрын
@@thesleepydot IT'S THEIR MONEY DUDE! They earned that money and it's not illegal to have a high amount of money. they don't have to burn their money and most of the time people go poor because they can't handle the money. If people earn billions of dollars, it's their right to spend money on whatever they want to. Even if it's an infestation, it's not immoral to be successful and rich. This doesn’t really hold up. You’re considering the net economic impact to society of spending money, which doesn’t change whether it’s given to charity or paid as wages. It’s still an outflow of however much money. What you’re not considering is distribution of the net benefit. Charity allows the money to be sent to a specific group of people for a specific purpose, whereas the job market is much more arbitrary. The question of who gets hired is not answered by whoever deserves the money the most, it’s whoever has the best skills and connections. Those depend on where you went to school, what you studied, who you know, and those depend on your class and other random factors. A lot of the entertainment industry is behind high barriers, as you need to have a safety net to deal with the uncertain job market. Hiring people and forever increasing GDP is not a solution to inequality because it doesn’t speak to distribution or justice. This is the equivalent to giving a starving man a meal so he can eat for a day. Investing the money in education, infrastructure, and other services is what is needed, and that’s where charity can help. Hiring people and giving to charity are very far from the same, not only because of the income distribution problem, but also because an employer will *never* create a job unless they can hoard the productive output of the worker for themselves.

Let's get the real points straight. Firstly, mrbeast is trying to help people. And secondly , Squid Game does make a few people rich but on the other hand, Squid game also has a lot of people behind it who created it as well as people who work at netflix. It might not help too many people but at the end, it is an integral part of the economy and it is creating jobs, wealth , boosting creativity and giving people something to enjoy. Entertainment has a place in this world and so does the jobs which are created by the entertainment industry. The people who make tweets like this do not understand just how the world works.

The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH!
