Thank you for sharing! Twiv is the best! Is it possible to get infected with H5N1 virus from eating infected cow meat? I eat Carpaccio (raw meat) and prefer my steaks medium rear.

Cook it.. yes that's how folks been getting it.. raw milk too.

Cook it the same way you would to avoid regular food borne illness, such as E. Coli. Be careful with tools used to handle raw meat, and of course wash your hands and tools well.

@@marklemont3735 Thank you! Guess I'll be using the Sous vide a lot more in the future. :) It works perfectly as a pasteurising/ cooking device. In Norway we have had few cases of food borne illnesses in the last couple of decades, but now they are on the rise due to imported eggs and meats. We have also seen a rise in Salmonella in cats, from infected birds.

@@mariannestrandeng6489 You’re welcome. Usually it’s the ground meat which has more of a risk of carrying infection due to increased surface area, and large pieces of red meat are safer, until H5N1 this year in the US. Meat in Europe may not be infected.

33:37 so basically since babies inherit antibodies with significant half lives, not only are infant vaccinations less effective, but also not necessary to protect the infant, ie a case against early vaccination. Given the measles antibody half life was 181 days, that means even after a year there would be a quarter of antibodies left. Protection being relative, protecting against severe disease perhaps. Finally, early infant vaccinations might be counterproductive, because they deplete the mother antibodies without providing an immune response.
