Watching this now, at ~ 7:24 -- free access to antiretrovirals -- ! A reminder of good decisions. Also, note that the transcript is good for scrolling through to locate time of some commentary, but the transcription of the words is not always accurate -- important for those who want to lift a quote. It's best to listen to what is said, several time if needed, to be sure of accuracy of word choice. One can then compare that to transcript.

Ah, recent histories so interesting esp. from Brazil. I my home in central Mx. health workers walked about knocking on every door with mosquito sprays to eradicate dengue esp. Very good to follow. Another good, useful TWiV. It's so great to hear perspectives from other countries with other experiences, other priorities, other geographies, etc etc. Vive la difference. I continue to be amazed that delivery of any IM injection is considered ok to do without aspiration. There is simply no excuse for not protecting patients as much as possible by being as certain as possible that the injection is in the muscle and not into a blood vessel. How is this controversial? It's actually malpractice in my opinion.

In Ontario Canada, the government negotiates drug prices with pharma companies, and that is why generics are affordable. Even though prescription drugs are not covered for the majority of adults (we pay out of pocket).

I and my vet friend never got COVID - I'm practically a hermit but it went around her family several times - and we have this theory that we've been soaked in cat coronaviruses (my poor kitty got FIP, even - he's fully recovered with molnupiravir) that the SARS-cov-2 didn't stand a chance. Sophie's tail is cute :)
