There were so many pages I loved in the inspiration book. I struggle to color mandalas, I never feel like the color scheme I pick works. Lol.

I would love to hear why mandalas are do popular and why people love them. Do you have any tips on how to tackle a mandala? What do you think would make these fun and pleasurable to colour? Do you use marker or pencil? Do you shade or blend colours or is it simply straight colouring when you fill in each space?

I like the inspiration book the best. Jessica, you convinced me to start PBN and I'm on my third from Craft- Ease! I also tried Masterpiece by Number, however, I'm not sure if you could convince me to get hooked on Mandalas . I can't believe that this is Vol. 5! Future video challenge, to convince me to try a mandala, lol ! I really like colouring greyscale, but not the photographs, but the illustrations. I'm t also trying to learn portraits using hybrid type greyscale like Christine Karron's books and Mariola Budek or Gracia. Salvo type images. Have you ever tried greyscale?

Hi, Karin! That is so awesome!! I have one grayscale book in my stash, and I've made a tiny start on the inside cover page. It has been very fun! I wish I had so much more time to experiment with it. Hopefully one day soon! ❤

@@tinyworldsofwonder Hi again, I am obsessed with a book by Jane Maday who you probably know from her diamond painting canvases. There is a book that I swear by! It is called Adorable Animals Greyscale by Jane Maday and published by Northern Lights, so the paper in the book is excellent. The greyscale is done very well and there is a simple tutorial and practice pages. I so badly wanted to learn greyscale and when I got this book, I learned how to do it. My goal is to one day finish the entire book. Prismas or Brutfuners work well on the paper. It has perforated pages and an inspiration gallery at the back. I don't like colouring over photographs and I only like illustrations. You will see that they are similar but yet different. Maday's are all her illustrations. Most other greyscale books, you need to copy onto a standard smooth Neenah type card stock. I tried copying onto bristol velum and the copy is not as clear and crisp and the tooth in the paper is too grainy for greyscale. If you invest in this one book, you won't be sorry. It is sold on Amazon. If you ever do order it and if it is easy for you to do,I would love to hear your thoughts. Very few people post pictures from it on fb groups and I seem to be the only one?? All of the pictures turn out so well. I also like the Rachel Mintz greyscale with all of the Victorian children . It is really different from the usual images you see in colouring greyscale books. I ordered the pdf from Rachel Mintz. You need to print because their paper isn't that good. If you join their club which is free, they will let you choose a free colouring book to download and you can choose the Victorian for free if you like that kind of stuff which I suspect you do.

I know we're rather far off, but I was wondering if you considered doing another "summer with the masters." I just missed the event when I found your page and I have a big Waterhouse I'd love to drill along with.
