Thanks for helping preserve this aspect of the art-Judo, art of the takedown/throw and being able to control after, gi or no gi!

4:05 I accidentally yelled out "Oh s***!!" with my kids around!! What a beautiful exchange. I absolutely love those two cartwheel counters vs the reverse kimura roll at 0:16 and the uchi-mata -> sumi-gaeshi combo at 2:10. Good flexibility and whizzer pressure at 0:50. And that pickup attack at 1:48 was sweet too. So much good grappling in one round! Lastly, I have a lot of appreciation for Miha's control; I wish all bigger people were so skilled at sparring with smaller guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are here. Judoka practicing AMERICAN jiu jitsu. Note the difference from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Not american JJ. Just Judo and catch wrestling.

@@solarjudgement4575 it would be so, were they not training specifically for the rule set we go by in JJ, right? I’ll also point out that you see Judo truly, but no one is wearing the Gi? This is also an ‘American’ custom. In 2009 worlds you’ll notice no one had a stand up game or cared about the takedown, it was jumping guard or butt scooting. Our customs changed what was considered important in the sport natively, and it has changed BJJ into AJJ
