I think his pronunciation is much better and that shows some difference. Ironically, I understood more of the words in his version than the others I’ve heard from English-speakers, because his diction has improved a lot. He recorded this I think when he got back from the US because I remember wondering if he’d had some help in pronunciation while he was there, the improvement was so good. But, as always, he was superb in his version. I think he should do this song on AGT. As you pointed out, it’s different than his usual forte and that will impress the judges. It’s shorter than some of his songs so he might not have to edit it and he slays it in his usual superb fashion. Bravo, Gabriel!

@@ifluvinguiswrong from what I understand, AGT picks his songs and will most likely stay away from anything he's already done. Except for 1 possibility. Raphael, GH brother, said Jennifer Hudson told Simon to audition G because of his cover of her song "And I'm telling you". Simon didn't believe a man could do justice to that song! Maybe that will be one! Otherwise, he is working on what songs AGT sent him! 💖✌️

I donated for this as well but 10.00 beats 2.00. There wasn't anything different about his voice in particular. Most people think this is a Michael Buble song but he was covering Nina Simone. Gabriel's runs were spectacular, his head voice supreme and the sustained whistle was amazing. No one will ever sing this better. Stu ❤

That is what I noticed, his lower range is a little deeper and richer, I believe hi is a little hoarse. I could hear hoarseness right after that ridiculous run at the end just before the whistle.

Guys, spot on with the analysis. He wanted to go a little more covered with this song to fit what he believed it needed. He's a master at digging into a song and making it unique. He doesn't sing all.of his songs the same way. That's what is so incredible about him. This was more rugged. He brought out the masculine side of his voice, although he has the most masculine whistle tone ever. ❤
