shout out to my old neighbor vince! he was a very kind guy, who fought in the korean war, always gave me the rest of the halloween candy he bought, always let me ride my bike in his lawn and driveway and put my ramps there, craziest thing is: when he passed it came to light he had over 1.8 million dollars in his bank account. dude lived in a 1 story old house. that man taught me alot about life values. RIP vince!

6:17 My grandfather used to have a similar situation when he fought in the Korean War. Maggots were used cause there was a lack of medical supplies during the early days of the war and it was a very popular method to clean wounds as the maggots are known to eat dead tissue.

Because the pen had the name of the younger brother. He returned the pen back to the older brother and made him promise to give it to him when they reunite later, but the older brother was killed towards the end of the movie with the pen of his younger brother's name on it. When the remains were discovered, 50 years later, they assumed the bones belonged to the younger brother (who is still alive) because the name on the pen found along with the remains . Very sad story...

Maggots in your wounds actually isn't a bad thing. They only eat dead tissue. Good for cleaning wounds. They also have some antibiotic effects, lowering the risk of infection. Looks absolutely disgusting, but if it saves your life? That said, you should still clean the wounds properly.

It depends on context, maggots were used to clean wounds back in the day but were usually placed there for a purpose. However, the fact maggots were found on him was a bad sign as it showed his wound was infected beyond the point of survival since his flesh was dying.
