My 99 9-5 2.0t blew up that exact hose last weekend and I have had hell of a time trying to identify it/find the part number for it to order a new one. Your video has just been an absolute saver. Thank you for sharing about it. :)

Nice video man . They seriously need to bring back the Saab brand. Currently own s 2004 Saab 9-3 Linear Sport Sedan that had belonged to my late great father. I have been fixing it up for the past couple of years since he didn't take the best care of it and I hope that it will able to pass inspection after I fix the remaining small amount of repairs that it needs . I look forward to hopefully driving it very soon on a regular basis. Saabs were one of the consummate best foreign brands around. They were an affordable luxury brand with plenty of high-end of quirky features.

Thanks for this Kyle. My 2004 Aero wagon just did this! Yesterday morning driving back from the waste dump I pushed it a bit and saw a big cloud of white smoke in the rear mirror. I thought « uh, oh hope that’s not the turbo! » but she felt fine and I remembered that the Aero has a Mitsubishi turbo and not the Garret one I had in my 1999 2.0t. I put it down to dust or tyre smoke since I had a bit of wheel spin. But this morning when parking at church lots of smoke, which I quickly realized was steam. Expansion tank empty, coolant all over the car park. I’m very relieved. I was lucky, she got me all the way 2000 miles back from the UK 🇬🇧 to France 🇫🇷 last month with no issues. I just need to see which hose has gone and order up a new set. This video should make things a bit easier. Thanks mate Rob

Hahahah i literally just replaced these. My car did the exact same thing man. Changing that was pretty easy. I also changed out the reservoir because it was really cloudy and I couldn’t tell the level of coolant. I spent a lot of time cleaning the engine bay though. What a mess.

I appreciate your efforts, but some of us need to see how you get to the hose and what clamps are used and how to get them loose. Going from leaking to fixed is not helpful.

Man I remember my upper radiator hose burst luckily had an aluminium spare two days pass and the coolant bottle nipple broke clean off the hose luckily also had a new spare 😂 I was not happy my saab did it’s own coolant flush twice

Hey Kyle, someone has a 07' 9-5 Saab for sale for cheap. Major coolant leakage. Do you see water pumps go bad on these cars often?

Hi Kyle I've been following your channel lately, do you have an opinion on diesel Saabs (quite popular in some areas of europe) I'm considering buying one but preferably gasoline, the question is what if I find a really nice diesel example would it worth it

My 9-5 vector was drinking coolent... then found the passenger foot well soaked with coolent just today. Heater core pipes I guess. I'm no mechanic so any guesses on labour price n parts!?

The hose that worries me actually leads to the expansion tank, so it's a thinner hose on my 2006 9-3 convertible. It actually looks corroded even though it's not rusted because it's a shiny black metal thing. How it got a hole (not a crack) that sizable is anybody's guess.

The one connected with the heat package broke on my 9-5 twice, has since replaced most of the hoses with do88 silicone and the problem vanished
@KylePancis3 жыл бұрын
good upgrade kit for sure
@isakkemi72963 жыл бұрын
@@KylePancis indeed, found out the hard way, the hoses seem to endure the power from stock but as soon as you tune it or drive in those high rpms frequently they will break from high pressure

2 times in a week blown hoses , changed termostat, still nothing, blew third one, ended up removing thermostat for summer
