Two days off: Buddy gets brushed and more.

Our cat gets in the closet, too. We get finger pinch guards in the baby proof section (Amazon has them cheap). They are the best and the door won't ever accidentally close again!

Nothing that you haven't experienced before, but I can understand being tired of it and the frustration of feeling it take over your emotions (letting it live in your head rent free). BTW - good order at Panda. I'm happy to see that you are making the better food choices with vegetables. I would have ordered the chow mein which my doctors say is on the forbidden foods list, because if you tell me that I can't have it, I want it that more more.

Buddy letting himself be brushed was the sweetest moment! Sooooo cute! And that fright of finding out he was locked in... Chills down my spine! My cats used to open the sliding door of my wardrobe and snuggle between some clothes. And one day I went out and closed my bedroom. Thank goodness I only went shopping, but for the same reason that you bought the bluesy shoesy pillow, I installed a magnet that keeps the wardrobe closed. Also prevents cat hair from lining all my clothes, by the way. That Orvis shirt is really woodchucky...! :D I'm into -y endings today. Toda-y.

Steven, your wanting to have Buddy's brushed hair makes perfect sense to me. You love him and you want to have a memento of him for now and for the future. I'm sure Buddy was an angel watching you benignly from above. BTW, the clothes you chose look great on you. Also, verbally structuring your time to reach your goals is really inspiring to me. I do the same thing, but without the detail you include in your plans. You are inspiring me to be more practical in structuring my chores and plans. Steven, Anything in moderation while losing weight. I lost 175 pounds to goal. I ate whatever I wanted in moderation. The key for me was if I bite it I write it. I have food diaries from 30 years ago. If I feel I gained weight I pull a old food diary and eat everything I ate during a really good weight lose week. I haven't been above goal weight in 24 years.

It's unbelieveable that in 2024 we still have homophobia. I remember about 10 years ago I was walking down the street here in Chicago and when the guy coming the other way passed me, he muttered :"f*g". I wanted so bad to confront him about it but I just let it go. You never know if someone has a knife, a gun or is just plain crazy. Thanks for sharing that Steven.

Good plan on pillow ...to be on the safe side still put a chair brick or something else by the door cats are always checking things out lol and that pillow they nay somehow het that moved.... have great travels !!

I was thinking the same thing. The cats can bat the pillow out of position. A good, ole fashioned door stop might work. Especially, if you use 2, one on either side of the door.

Basically if you were to have said something to them, they would probably be too ignorant to comprehend...didn't like that one plain jacket on you. It looked too short but the other one you found was very nice. To be honest with you, I painted that picture on that size paper not thinking about how hard it would be to find a frame for it...then reality hit as I could not find a frame that size. So I went with that option. I bought the frame at Hobby Lobby so if there is one near you maybe the frame dept. would know of an option so it could be hung on the wall. Re the closet situation I would maybe buy 1 brick at Home Depot or Lowe's and place it between the frame and door leaving a space big enough for either one of your cats to safely go in and out if the closet. The brick would be too heavy for your cats to move it preventing them from getting stuck in the closet again. Big hugs to Buddy and Eleanor!!

Try going to Michael's (There are apparently several in Las Vegas) and get some "3M Command Strips" to hang your picture. The strips come in several sizes and strengths, and can be attached to the back of your picture. But check to make sure they will stick in Las Vegas' weather. 👍

Yep. As much as I loved my fellow potters, the owners of the studio were....uhm...not always pleasant. It took weeks to get anything fired, we had to purchase our glazes (which ends up making the classes super expensive). It wasn't a great experience.
