I feel like The Art of Dying would be kind of like throwing them off the deep end of Gojira haha. I feel like Flying Whales, Heaviest Matter in the Universe, Stranded, Silvera, and Global Warming aka quintessential Gojira tunes should probably come first before the monster that is The Art of Dying haha. Dunno. Certainly would like to see them react to more Gojira overall though.

I kind of disagree with that... most of their live videos are poor quality and some of the songs don't really sound that good live because they use a lot of effects on their studio versions - they do sound a lot better than most bands though - a lot of people are bashing Joe's live performances though because he makes a lot of mistakes and misses notes but man... the style of singing that he does for most of the songs is really hard - not to mention that most of his guitar work has to be really precise.

I remember seeing (and listening to) them here in germany on the "Rock Hard - Festival" (Rock Hard is a famous Metal-Magazine, worldwide meanwhile) for the first time, and they were too complicated for me that day (missed the "red line" in their rhythm, the groove)...today I can only say, that they're a fantastic band, for me especially the album "L'enfant Sauvage" is an absolute highlight! Been going through your videos lately, and they are fun to watch! I wanted to throw out some suggestions I think could be fun. One of my favorite bands of all time. Beast in Black - Blind and Frozen - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH-XpYucaKqhqdk This singer, in my opinion, has one of the best voices in metal. This video and band seem to draw in a lot of viewers from what I've seen. Brothers of Metal - One - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJbCdKybe9atn7s A baratone somewhat growly male singer paired with a powerful female voice who make fun norse-themed music. This one is a bit slower, but has a lot of power. Fair warning that the music video is a bit crude haha Hysteric Panic - Painkiller - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmLZiniwhpuoetE A japanese band with a band name that represents thier sound pretty well. Honestly they're a smaller band, but I love how unique they are. This is a bit more of a selfish suggestion just because I'm such a big fan of the band lol The list got a bit out of hand, lol. See? This is what I like about metal reactions from those still kinda fresh to the genre: DEM LAYERS, SON!!! The instrumental "ad libs," the polyrhythms, the style changes in the middle of songs, the atmosphere, and most of all as to why I love metal... DA HEAVINESS!!! So much popular music lack these things. Been wanting to look into heaviness as something that can go beyond rock and metal.

The art of Dying will blow your mind ! The time signature is really odd, and Mario Duplantier (the drummer) still has to explain how he's doing it today. These guys are really from another world. Their songs are mostly about spirituality, death, life, animals and global warming, Buddhist and Hindhu religion... Well, every song of them are incredible.

You should do a reaction to Shooting Star. Both the lead singer and drummer are brothers and unfortunately their mother passed during the recording of the album Magma. The song according to the singer is about losing someone dear and seeing the soul of that loved one flying in the sky. I think you will enjoy.
