I always sucked at guard passing, then i learned a few pressure passes. Havent had a problem since, except when i roll with way higher belts

It's such a good tool to have in your toolbox! There are a couple of subtle adjustments and principles that you have to learn to keep yourself out of trouble, but then - BOOM - your training partners are in for a rough ride :)

@@StephanKesting very much agree. I must say the one i have the most success with is the arm weave pass against someone with a good Z guard. And im a really skinny guy too so its not like you have to BE heavy to PASS heavy!

I have this issue. Coming from a wrestling background im so quick to just pass guard and not really relax and slow it down. Working hard to get rid of bad habits.

Lyrics4U It’s not necessarily a bad habit. It’s just a different way of doing things. Both fast and slow passing work, but slow pressure passing is a little bit easier if you’re older or less agile
