I'm intrigued Phil..... I'm right, am I not, that you were at The Strathmore in Morecambe? It's just that prior to COVID, that was one of the hotels I worked from during my coach touring career, and when I had another look at the place a couple of years ago, I was 'moved on' by security, as it was being used secretively as a migrants hostel! Good to know that it's back in proper use.

Great to watch Phil. I'm embarrassed to admit that I've/we've never ridden the lane from Dove Holes, and you can rest assured I'll be putting that right pdq! Nice video anyway, much like I've started to do with my son Nick. Just goes to show, every day's a school-day! 😊

Hi Martin. I'm pleased that you enjoyed the video. The lane from Dove Holes is well worth a ride - it's not a difficult lane and I have taken a bigger bike than the Himalayan along it. Nevertheless, there are some parts which demand a certain amount of concentration such as a fairly steep descent which is loose but not technical. It's a lovely area to ride in and the lanes we chose certainly gave Mark a gentle enough introduction to riding on unsurfaced roads. Cheers, Phil.👍

Yes, we're quite an active group - mainly Himalayan mounted - getting out once a week in the White Peak, mainly Bonsall Moor/Chatsworth area, but I'll get a few brownie points with this one! Cheers Phil.

@@martintraffordmoorlandbike7121 Sounds interesting and the sort of thing I'd like to get involved with. How do I contact your group?

Don't worry your old student won't be there in the group. I've been told no Honda's allowed.

I'm really tempted to get one of these last gen Himalayans, around £2500 for one a few years old looks like a serious bargain.

That sounds good to me too. The last time I looked, my local dealership was doing them brand new for just £3795 + OTR. 3 year warranty with breakdown cover. Makes you think. I paid £3995 for my first Himalayan in 2018 and the same for this one in December 2023. They really are very good. Thanks for your comment. Phil.
