I find many decks to be annoying (dryton/virtual world/synchro/etc.), but I think there are only a few truly toxic decks. For me the most toxic decks are either Exodia or the Cyber Stein Burn deck. If they go first they're both almost guaranteed FTK decks and even second can otk if you don't have the counter setup.

Both are less consistent than other better and equally as toxic autopilot combo decks where if you dont hard open the right handtraps you still lose on t1 without the option to do anything all the same They dont even need semispecific counters like say floodgatelich, exodia autoloses to ash, droll and veiler/imperm and stein autoloses to all of the above plus nibiru and crow Im not against banning some of the pieces but doing that would be silly when theres a lot of degeneracy that people like for some reason that enables the same instances

Magician right hand (continuous spell)can negate super poly If you have it on the field with a spellcaster monster and if the super poly was your opponent first spell. Also it can work in your dark magician deck (Just leaving this info if you did not know about the card).

You can try activating Upstart Goblin first and then chaining Soul Servant. More often then not, people won’t Ash an Upstart Goblin, but if they see you play Soul Servant and THEN Upstart, your opponent will definitely Ash you. If you activate Upstart first and they don’t respond with Ash, you chaining Soul Servant guarantees your draw.Just a tip in using Dark Magicians :)

Just wanted to say since you don’t really like getting ash blossomed, maybe look up triple tactics talent! If they use ash or effect veiler or any monster hand trap during your turn you can draw 2 cards, or take control of one of there monsters, or look at there and and send 1 to grave. It’s pretty handy haha

Seereax has brought up a good point and a reason I don't play Master Duel, I just play duel links because I don't really have time to get into master duel. But the point is when people ruin a perfectly good duel by playing cards like harpies/trap holes/books of moon/cosmics etc.. there are a lot of cards which aren't really part of decks but are additional annoyances. I think these ruin the gameplay so I like that Seereax avoids these types of cards.. I play to enjoy dueling not to counter the other player because they're playing toxic.

I think the choice for most toxic deck is pretty arbitrary. Every deck is just trying to set up the same monsters from the extra deck to negate literally everything. Sure, some get there in more annoying ways, but in the end the whole meta is toxic. Still love the game for some reason ^^ Also burn decks.

@@casuallydone468 I mean, technically true, but most of the ones I've played against always set up Apollousa. Anyways for me personally it's not all about negates as a mechanic. Tri-Brigades for example sets up a lot of combo to banish or shuffle back your entire board and most meta decks play DPE who also tries to not let you do anything. As I said, I still love the game and of course nothing is unbeatable or incredibly unfair. And it can be a fun challenge to try to get through the board state etc. I'm just not always in the mood to play a meta where every deck is set up to not let the other player play theirs if that makes sense. I don't know if you are into MTG, but in that game's terms, it's like every single deck played counter spells without having to manage ressources like Mana. You just have to play through them.

I would say the problem with Super Polymerization is that there is an over abundance of great Dark Attribute monsters. Which makes them great Fusion fodder for Starving Venom Dragon. However there is only so many Fusion Monsters that require generic Fusion materials that make the monster worth a damn. Like Venom Dragon. It is also a terrible going second card, as it doesn’t disrupt your opponents plays, unlike Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermanence, Nibiru etc. Since it is Limited to 2 in this format, I would think it is fair. But that is just me.

Also while you can't respond to either Droplet or Super Polymerization, you can immediately destroy the Fusion card that is summoned with a card like Trap Hole or Torrential Tribute.

@@Marco_mm That is also true. However that Fusion monster requires 2 monsters of the same Attribute, but a different Type. And that is a big but because if you are playing against an Archetypal deck like an Elemental HERO deck, you aren't going to get either of those cards out since there are few Dark Elemental HEROes, and they are all Warrior monsters (With the exceptions of the ones nobody plays). A Blue Eyes you won't get unless they summon multiple Chaos Max Dragons, since they are Dark Attribute which is fodder for Venom Dragon. So while Super Polymerization is busted in theory as you can't negate it or respond to it, it is only good if you are facing a deck with good materials for a Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck. Otherwise, those Fusion Monsters are dead weight.

Reason why super polymerization WAS fair as that originally you needed specific monsters so it would be hilarious to just be like, "Oh hey I have dark magician you just played a buster blader?, Cool Dark Paladin." But uh the generic summoning conditions that have made the card incredibly flexible. 0:09 - Any deck with Verte Anaconda + DPE, especially if they have an omni negate they can get out turn 1. So... 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the decks in this fucking game. The ease with which DPE can be tossed into 99% of decks is nothing short of fucking *DISGUSTING.* Say what you will about Tri-Brigades, Eldlich, Majestic Shooting Star, Herald of Ultimateness, or even *_RHONGO,_* at least they stayed almost _exclusively_ within the confines of certain archetypes and required a significant portion of the deck to accommodate all the cards needed to make them work. Meanwhile, Verte + DPE says "Oh, do you have room for 3 cards in your main deck and have literally *ANY* two effect monsters like 99% of decks? Congrats! Here's a bullshit card that a massive pain in the ass to out and is pretty much guaranteed to take multiple cards down with it even if your opponent *DOES* have an answer to it!" Even all the way down in Gold V DPE is fucking everywhere, and the idea that Gold V is basically the lowest tier/rank in the game (because lower tiers don't track losses) is a sick joke.

You almost have to run 2-3 Ash Blossoms in every deck. Along with that, I recommend effect veilers and maxx c. Maxx C is great to slow down your opponent from playing if they go first.

This is probably the best comment here. When they make new decks, they always make some stupid broken effects. For example dark magician you have dark magical circle where it banishes a card by targetting. When you just increase the power of the cards they just become broken. Too many decks with broken ass effects. That's the problem with Yugioh. In my opinion all the new boss monsters should be archetype specific and not be able to play with already OP decks. Some of these cards are too generic. That's what gets me mad.

@@LtDragonfruit Yes, it is very useful unless your opponent already does not run a deck that can negate it or end with DPE as a shutdown to stop you at your most pivotal moment to catch up. At that point using it would just be a waste of time, because your opponent will mostly likely set-up their board that will thrive even if dpe is not on their field so it is just icing on the cake.
