Good to be back with you all. Here are two great recipes. Great because they're easy, they're quick and the taste is fantastic. The first - - Pasta/Cabbage, is an old time midwest side dish that I remember as a kid growing up in Detroit. The second, Stir Fry Beef is an excellent mid-week meal. Prep time is 10 mins, and cooking is 10 mins. It can't get any better than that. ENJOY

I’m 62 & I fix this for my family quite often. Yes wide egg noodles are the way to go. I add a hot banana pepper in ours. This is a summer time side for us.. With grilled chicken & fresh sliced tomatoes. They really like it. GOD BLESS from West Central Indiana Farmland

I was born and raised in Michigan. Fried cabbage and noodles (always egg noodles) was a dish we ate frequently during Lent. My family is Slovakian. Another dish we ate, again mostly during Lent, was noodles (always egg noodles) and eggs. Now that one at least has some protein and filled us up more❣️ Thank you for sharing your take on this favorite of mine.

Thank you for this dish. I have chronic kidney disease and watch what I eat. All of these ingredients are✔️. I use shrimp or salmon to place on top and it’s my meal.

❤ Wisconsinite here... in our cabbage and noodles, we always add kielbasa... Generally, mom and grandma used leftover noodles so it was a 1 pot meal. 😊

I had never heard of this, but I make dinner for our household and a couple other households each week so I’m always looking for quick, easy, healthy meal ideas. I just relistened and made this with our own home butchered sausage. 3 Main dishes ready to go! It’s delicious and nutritious! Thanks!

I have ancestry for generations in the Midwest, and when I was growing up (mid-70s now) to cook cabbage we always started with onion just like this and then adding the cabbage. Lots of time that's where it stopped. Other times we may have added tomatoes and some seasonings. I honestly don't ever remember adding pasta, though, and never even knew what sour cream was until quite a while after I was married. I loved seeing this, though, and I think most viewers would agree that we enjoy going along with you in your travels too.

There is a Polish dish called Hluski which has cooked, chopped cabbage mixed with sauteed onions and bacon or kielbasa (sausage). Then add cooked egg noodles. You need to season this with salt and pepper. Delicious! You can use this as a one dish meal if you add the meat.

Incidentally, I'm originally from Chicago, Illinois. There is a large Polish, German, Lithuanian, Czech and Bohemian population there. So there is a big eastern European influence there.

Here in Ohio, this Slovak family calls that fried cabbage and noodles. We use egg noodles no parsley nothing else, no chicken broth 😂 This was normally a Friday night dinner during lent for Catholics. If it wasn’t lent, you could add fried bacon.

If hubby is going over to MORE ASIAN Country maybe you should invest in a WOK buy one at an Asian Cook Shop with extras like steam baskets to start him off...but please teach him how to say 'WOK'... That first dish I used to make one simular but it was only Cabbage, Onion ,water and a sprinkle of Sugar then steam it in a Pot and stir every so offen...then serve no cream that killed the dish for me...but each to each other... You must be rich to flight everwhere...😂😂😂😂😂 You need your sister in law to be on your show as she has a GREAT LAUGH...Big Time...😂❤😂❤😂❤
