I’ve been using this for a while now I really like it, the -3db on each just makes it sound right. Can I ask why -3db? Is it like a universal sweet spot?

And i dont really use a compression that does ADSR, just OTT opr stock cubase compresspir. Shopuld i be using my fab filter compress0r? wguch does ADSR

Yes, the fab filter compressor has way more functionality. Use that one.

Just a beginner here, not really across all the industry methodologies, i just nomally do all thr compression and eq etc on thr track and just hsve 1 bus per track )(i only have a few tracks normally) no post fader processing. Is this amateur?my mixing usually turns opur pretty good though . Aplpogues for long question just wamted to provide some context .and i use cubase 5 😂

Yes, you want to have different bus groups for different elements in your track. This will give you the ability to separate and process each instrument individually to get the cleanest results.
