D-35= great depth in the tone

The D41 sounds like it has newer strings. It’s brighter. It also has a bigger bottom. The 35 is darker, but more pleasant.

D-35 is more classical sounding. D-41 has a tinny cling to it, a Bluegrass sound.

Very nice…. Both of them. You’re right. The D-41 is a bit brighter but to me not that much more.

Have you got medium gauge strings on the 41 Dick? Might warm it up a bit. I've never been a fan of the 35 but never met one I didn't like ;)

The D-35 had light gauge Martin Lifespan strings that I put on for my friend in January 2016. So they were six years old. The D-41 had month-old Martin Retro Monels, medium gauge.

@@FutureForecastingGroup Alrighty then, that would explain the "brightness" but gotta say, the Monels didn't fair so well on my D-18. Thanks for the clarification 👍
