​@@gabecollins5585 Ferrets are domesticated polecat. Humans did that a few thousand years ago for hunting, so they are innately tame now, like cats or dogs. "Domesticated"* minks are American mink, which humans decided to breed for the fur trade and domesticated in the 19th century (I think), and need to be individually tamed, like a fox or a wolf born in captivity they are not automatically tame. * Quotation marks because they were not selected for how tame/friendly they are, but for fur quality (I give no guarantee of factual correctness, I am neither a biologist nor a historian, just had too many conversations with those over the years)

Watching the mink makes me miss owning ferrets had many over the years but I keep thinking about 2 in general Columbo he was mr perfect gave kisses,cuddled and did tricks, and trouble maker Pancakes she was a red eyed white with two little black spots on her head that looked like devil horns she got in everything locked cabinets, found her on the top shelf of a closet with nothing inside to climb on and took great pride in bulling my 111 pound German Shepard. With her never had to say " Who did this " it was "how did she do that ".
