These two cute baby macaws hit the jackpot with Lauren and Jeff. 🤗And so wonderful to see all these sweet 'chickens' soar up in the air and enjoy themselves! 🦜🦜💫💛

I love seeing the joy in free flight videos. It is the joy in the owners that leaps out from the screen. The birds are in their natural element but is the hearts in the owners that is full of accomplishment and soars with them.

Excellent, love these vlogs because it's birds in flight, (some fantastic close ups by the way), and responsible bird parents, Laura and Jeff sharing their experience with flight and nutritional training. Enjoyed the music too,lol. Thanks Jamie and Dave.

These videos end too soon! I can't get enough of the bird's joy in free flight. It was watching one of these videos, while in the hospital, that I knew I wanted a bird. Finally I am a foster! Alas, I will never be able to free flight myself so I am hooked on Birdtricks. You have such great cinematography!

The videography in this one...🤯...mind-blowing. The lucky day montage is simply gorgeous. When people ask me what I mean when I talk about free flying out will be used as an example. So gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!!

Happy 🎉Birthday Bubbalicious. 7 years old sometime this week! I love 💕 that Birdtricks has developed such a diverse business from their passion for parrots. I thought Bandit was this most beautiful creature ever. I’m so happy you inspired me to rescue this galah. Capri is growing so sweet and beautiful. Her talent will take her on amazing adventures throughout her life. Love this family of people and parrots.

Since parrots live in flocks in the wild, I would have thought that the birds would've banded together more but I guess it's different when they don't know each other, so the humans are more "part of the family"...

How did you guys capture that clip at 15:00??? Was it like drone footage or were you just running ridiculously fast?

I had my running shoes on. 😂. And it was really windy.

My guess is someone ran beside them and filmed, and later used a stabilizing effect on the computer. Just a guess though…I’d like to know too.

how many bird videos before its actually OK to get one as a companion/pet? im up to a million, but, everyone that has one says dont get one
@barryklinedinst6233 Жыл бұрын
If your ready to have a 40 or 50 year pet. Or more. Than get a bird. They want attention every single day. For hours at a time twice a day. It's not cheap to feed them properly . But if you get a bird and don't let him out to play then don't get one. They are awesome creatures. Very smart. So if your ready for a very long commitment than get a bird. Find a place to adopt one and let the bird pick you

I also watched alot of bird videos. And i startedout small i have a little pineapple conure. Now im adopting a Hahns macaw still small but working my way up.

So, it's possible to teach older bird to free fly?
@Trueblue1061 Жыл бұрын
That was some great filming. Do the birds always return to their owners or do they accidentally return to someone else. I would be afraid I would end up with the wrong bird!
@joebean3615 Жыл бұрын
No I wouldn’t think so, they’d be able to tell different people apart
@BirdTricks Жыл бұрын
When they are first learning, they are more likely to accidentally land on someone else among the group. As they become more skilled and the humans learn the best place to be for their landings, everyone gets more accurate!

my macaws at liberty range is around ten miles that he can cover very fast, i have spotters everywhere in the tem mile radious..but hes good he'll fly of be gone no longer than 5 minutes wont normally land and if he does its always in a tree, he learned the seagulls cant land in trees, mind there not much trouble for him these days, he takes a chase for fun..he's epic..his person, my husband died in december, we've had bird flu lockdown then the death made for a horrible winter for my boys..there much better friends, i think it was u who suggested another male was best and a clipped rescue male came up a few days later, he could fly just about but his lack of skills for a 7 year old broke my heart,,,hes ready for outside,,his flight skills 8 months on are brillant, hes very skilled now..might even fly better than my ffer ..we'll see this summer ..if Irish weather could catch up now..his outdoor recall training could start, the temp was good all week, but the wind was two much..looking forward to having two flying, can you belive ive the 2nd 8 months already..i actually took in another who is very underweight wild and twenty,,i think its a she but ive dna samples gone off to stabvida, she has a brilliant home lined up ...

Just a word of caution. My greencheek conure was killed by a hawk, when he escaped from the house and sat on a tree next to my house. It was traumatic. This happened in north Florida.

So sorry to hear this! Florida has so many predators and isn't ideal for freeflight. Our birds learned there and we were so very limited.

What are those things attached to their tales?
@beckiechild9874 Жыл бұрын
They are radio telemetry devices to track how far, how fast, and where the birds go. Those devices prevent birds from getting lost.
