EARLY! Holy crap 25 pushies with a 40 lb pack! Love everything about this vid.. Two of my brothers and my sister in law are doing Sylvania Wilderness (mini boundary waters in the UP) on Oct 14th. We are all Shug fans for some years now. We do one every fall when the leaves change, as started by our father..I’ve been swinging in a hammock since 1998 ( Hennesy).. Your rock juggling, mushroom shooting, tree limb balancing, goofy talking ways are exactly what we love.. Could not believe the moose you caught grazing in the lake some weeks ago.. We did hammock down to 6 degrees a couple years ago.. You are definitely THE below zero hero by far.. Love your DIY, love your music (as run little cotton tail is still stuck in my head), love your hobbies, love you brother.. Thank you..

Always a pleasure to go along with you, Shug. Loved your harmonies and videography, and I laughed at "hippie with a handgun." Thanks for posting.

I thankee. Here is the song. It is a Marshall Tucker song called “Fly Eagle Fly” written by Toy Caldwell. I always loved so decided to learn it. Grabbed the guitar and did a rough. This is the song I want played at my funeral when that day comes.But the Marshall Tucker version...not my version......soundcloud.com/seanemery2/fly-eagle-fly-rough-cut?in=seanemery2/sets/seans-plays-songs&si=ee16fda640024d0b8a13080aa38a93f0&

Hey Shug! I was so excited to see this video. My wife and I and our two young boys maintain the section between Sugarloaf Road and Caribou river. So glad you enjoyed it. I’m not sure if that bridge is Boomer built but I’ve definitely replaced a few boards on it!
@shugemery2 жыл бұрын
Big thankee for the work keeping that section rosy! Love that bridge. Makes me happy to cross it.

You should totally Thru-hike (Through-hike?) that trail next year! That would be a fantastic adventure!

I am mulling that thru hike for around this time next year. Good time of year. Not too hot. Not too cold. Summer over and less humanity on trail!!

I came here just to comment right now - I always save your videos to watch from the hammock! I might go backpacking this weekend so I can download this and watch it in the backcountry. But its like staring at a piece of candy on your desk while working. Its REALLY hard not to eat it!
@shugemery2 жыл бұрын
You should go. Go for sure. Go, go ,go...... Now I need candy.

Great video as always! I discovered Kastany chocolate when I spent a semester studying abroad in Prague about 10 years ago. I must have eaten at least one of those a day. Looks like the packaging has changed a bit, hopefully the taste has not. Good memories.

Right on Shug ! Nice ! I’ve been a Warbonnet fan fo a long time, Blackbird, Ridge runner, now the Eldorado. Really love the simplicity. Never really used the “ shelve “ on the Blackbird. Good times ! Cheers

I too really enjoy the Eldorado...stripped down. I add my mesh bag to ridgeline. Shelf is nice but I don't need in with my style.
