Brown Sugar Crunch looks like Teramo. The first time I ate a Teramo I thought it tasted like a fig newton lol. Maybe the same or just related. I’ll have to get BSC now just to compare.

Thanks. Encouraging to find new varieties for PNW. I can see I'll have to try those two.

It took me a few years to find out how good these varieties are for the PNW. LDA is a great choice for Breba crop and also main crop if it is warm where you are at.

Wow, looks like they have both been really productive this year! I have LDA, but the tree hasn't grown much this year. We have had a dreadful summer for figs here this year 😞
@oregonfigs33149 ай бұрын
We have self appointed “fig celebrities” saying the PNW and Great Britain are the same type of growing areas. We had 1/2” of rain over the last three months.

I'm going through your videos and I'm sold. Just seeing all these figs growing in ground and ripening in our area is amazing. I almost wonder if the 'Jim Wilson' fig I have isn't Longue d'Aout.
@oregonfigs33149 ай бұрын
I’m not familiar with the Jim Wilson fig. There are many synonyms for LDA. I think you will be happy if you have one. I will make sure you get cuttings from my tree after dormancy - my tree is getting too tall and needs a haircut. DK and LDA are fantastic Breba crop trees.
@MikeKincaid799 ай бұрын
@@oregonfigs3314 I've got DK and love it. Just waiting for it to mature more and produce as many figs as your tree is producing.
@oregonfigs33149 ай бұрын
@@MikeKincaid79 - my DK took three years to really start producing - same with LDA These Breba producers need a few years in ground - they are so worth it!!!

Gotta get my hands on both of these... have you grown Dalmatie/Stella? I've hear dots also good for PNW but want to know how it compares to other figs such as these. Thanks for the video!
@oregonfigs33149 ай бұрын
I do not have Stella -maybe someone growing it in the PNW could help out here?

I have quite a few here south of Albany, Oregon. They have a good breba crop and a large crop that's ripening now. Huge figs, up to 200 grams, Adriatic type.

I just found your channel this evening and you do a great presentation with your videos. Your LdA is magnificent looking, im in Georgia and my 2 yr old LdA fruited this year but it didn't have that hint of yellow on the skin, it was pretty good and im sure it will get better. First time I've heard of BSC Thanks for the great review, looks and sounds like a real keeper. Will you be selling or trading any cuttings anytime soon?

Can I just slap you one time🤣😂🤣😂😂
