Very good description of what to expect. I could almost feel how these two play. And from what you say about the Aero 98 I can imagine one more kind of player who can benefit from it. Whenever somebody starts to develop a really good technique - be it a junior or somebody at 40 - the Aero can guide them to the next level. Yes, it's demanding to always hit the center and Yes, it wants you to swing up properly, that's exactly what their coach always wants them to do.
@JC-hz9en3 ай бұрын
Exactly what I felt when I tested the PA98. This racket guides you to have a proper technic level. If u do it, it rewards u 1000 times that another rackets. The feeling is indescritable. Power precision spin, impact feeling! In définitive I m not sure that the forgiving rackets are the best option because they let you with a bad technic.

I still remember a clubmate who begun late and came from Badminton. He was some sportive guy, very short reflexes, fast on his feet - and very proud of himself to play Tennis like Badminton: with a very light power frame and only by a flick of his wrist. He would not have done that with a racquet like a PA 98. That's why I am very sceptical if some coaches recommend forgiving racquets for beginners. Beginner's racquets cannot be too demanding. Just like JC said.

I have the Extreme Tour 1.0 and Pure Aero 98. The video seems like a pretty accurate comparison.
@OldManMidnight3 ай бұрын
As someone that swings fairly flat I've had more success with the Extreme Pro than I did with my Pure Aero because if I wasn't swinging with heavy top spin the Pure Aero just felt cumbersome. The Extreme just allows you to decide which way you want to swing and it is versatile enough to accommodate your style. Also I preferred the lighter head of the Extreme at net when getting around volleys
@MithTang3 ай бұрын
yea I agree, when I try to change the pace or the trajectory, I feel like Pure Aero limits me and requires me to swing fast and upward. That breaks the deal to me.

I prefer the Extreme Pro in terms of feel and easier maneuverability. Also i like the paint job more. Using Lynx Tour at 47 and felt good after 2 hours of playing time. This new Extreme is similar in feel to the 2020 Graphene and that i like. I did not like the feel of the 2022 Extreme Tour. But i do like the feel of the Extreme Pro. I can place the balls real well and with good spin.

Nice comparison! Could you do a review of the new extreme pro with the older tour (360+ and auxetic 1.0)? I was thinking to change for the new one, but form what I saw people saying, the new one is more flexible and with less feel than the 360+ one

Hit the key points as always and lead me to think back Based on a manageable sw, I play better with bits of mass accumulated somewhere at the upper hoop, but I just don't like the aero-dynamic throat cuz it kind of commends me to swing fast and upward. It somewhat stop me from mixing everything up(unnecessarily😬), but that's not really what I want Plus, I do find myself preferring soft/muted frames and appreciating long dwelling time I passed Pure Aero 98, and settled with VCore 98 feel like I can explain my choice better now

It's much less traditional in feel which I know is weird to say considering the Aero and Extreme aren't that traditional either. It's the way that it pockets the ball that is extremely unique and definitely takes some getting used to at first but the end result is pretty similar playability compared to the Aero/Extreme.
@21es783 ай бұрын
The shape of the Aero is very similar to the Ezone, but that doesn't make the Ezone that much more spin friendly. So do other parts of the racket make it more spin friendly, such as grommets and string spacing? Great video as always! Cheers

It’s funny but to me the difference between 98 and 100 feels minimal to me because I came from a world where your choices used to be 85, 90 or 110. All things considered I’d rather go with a 98 but in the grand scheme of things you would be hard pressed to distinguish the 98 from the 100 unless they were side by side. Heck, I have a 95 that I can’t distinguish that easily size-wise from a 98 because the 95 has a rounder and less elongated head shape that appears bigger side by side. I think the difference might be more apparent if comparing a 100 to 95.

I tested Shift and play with PA98 .. Shift 99 315 has 1 big issue to me its launch angle is much lower. Shift 99 300 feels not stable enough. But other than this Shift 315 is a very nice raquet and if they would change the launch angle I would switch.

The contact time is irrelevant. What matters is the force vector direction at the time of impact even if it's a very short time. Your argument is about as ridiculous as saying how you hit the ball playing pool makes no difference because the impact time is too short.
