Appreciated you showing your gameplay - not easy when you are working stuff out and fully aware of mistakes. I've played healing roles in most games for a very long time, and TWW Healing genuinely scared me out of bothering... In the lower keys there seems to be a large amount of people who are even willing to attempt it. I think the playerbase may have straight up scared them off for various reasons, attitude, patience etc. Its hard to learn in these settings and takes a very resilient person honestly. Its such a rewarding role when played well.. I wanted to share an experience that sticks out and applies to M+ extremely well.. When I played LK Classic, I raided with two groups - a Heroic team; which played awesome and were good players. I raided in a second team full of friends that barely pulled a few heroic bosses by the end of the phases. (Good players in it too, but a lot of others who just wanted to vibe!) The Heroic team was a much more relaxed and straight up easier team to heal for. We got horrible healing parses (couldn't care less) because there wasn't even stuff to heal. Everyone used defensives, the raid coordinated ECDs to perfection, we just existed to let the few mistakes stop a complete wipe. The Normal team, I raided with purely because they were awesome people and zero regrets on that regard.. but it blew my mind how many times I'd genuinely be struggling to keep a team up even while the content is meant to be (and was) significantly easier. Refusing to kick leading into mass raid volleys or silences.. DPS just slamming into NPCs while healer NPCs would stand slightly behind just dropping massive heals into the enemy.. honestly sometimes it just made me laugh because it was funny to see it play out. A friend of a friend popped into my group yesterday and decided to bless us with his healing. Dude was running 9s / 10s compared to 0s -> 4s and confirmed this exact same thing was happening in mythic+. He said "I've struggled so much more on 1s and 2s because the players don't actually know how to avoid dmg" I think healers in TWW ATM might actually have one of the most brutal learning curves. The entire + aspect and levels are flipped on their head when you take into mind "Fail mechanic = death" at a higher lvl. It's not a call for nerfs - But its important to acknowledge because I'm not even surprised when healers are so hard to find. Stick at it. Literally gets easier as you progress - and on so many levels.

Have been looking forward to this podcast. I hope you guys plan to do more in the future! What do you think about keeping the death affix and adjusting it based on your key level then adding a small time bonus for each player above after a boss kill? Perhaps 5-6 seconds per player alive after a boss, giving you about 1.5 minute if everyone is alive after a boss kill. Another idea would be a mechanic that goes off where you have to absorb something 3 times in a row or a big scary spell that needs to be interrupted for a small time bonus.

Certainly doing more. Next one with feature Syiler too! In terms of the affix, it needs to just be removed. There are creative ways to NOT remove it, but they are just not worth braingstorming about. Its a bad idea and shouldn't exist in my eyes. In terms of ADDING time, I don't think that's possible or something they would consider.

Blizzard just seems stubborn in their ways where they can’t admit that an idea they had ended up failing. So it seems like they will keep the affix and just continue to add more ways to gain power in keys, which I’ve enjoyed the temporary buffs, but they can still be balanced without the death timer.

I relate to Harry so much, in fact I am Harry 100%, down to the class/healing spec, to the experience, everything. Right now I'm trying to complete all my 10s in time, hit 2500 io yesterday and I was so happy! In the past I did KSM only with dps (HDH) and trying tanking here and there (VDH) to get the mounts, but now I wanna do KSH on healer and possibly on tanking in future because it's so engaging. i've come accross your channel and I love it, the players are their worst enemies really, if only we would understand that we would all become better players :D

Great duo; perfect representation for players in each role from a perspective of the "support roles" (non-DPS to me) The games in a brilliant spot. There are a lot of struggles for players, but the play itself is top notch. Bringing us peasants up, with patience and respect is what the game severely lacks. Finally ripped the bandaid off and slammed through Mythic0s and + grind began on the Tank role. Metro - Harry, super valuable members of the community. The kind of players i'd wish to be around when playing this game. "Focus on that self-play and we'll all go a fkn long way" - easy to blame the goalie for missing a goal.. but it took a team of little or massive mistakes to get to that point. Don't start pointing fingers ever; but especially when you haven't done literally everything you could and more to prevent the problems being faced. Used to play a lot of OW ranked and a hard lesson that helped me throughout anything competitive + online going forwards.. "you can't control the other players; so you just learn to go with the flow and be surprised when everything goes perfectly - not aggressive when it doesn't" -> had a friend who would suck all day long at the game, and call everyone else out without taking criticism and the vibe was so miserable I stopped playing with him. I remember thinking "I'm going to do literally everything in my power to prevent the issues I think will happen" the difference was going from mid-platinum average player to circling the edge of top 500 in my small and not that impressive community OCE.

Something I have been thinking about is the actual key itself. What if you did away with the key system and unlocked dungeon levels similar to the tier system in delves? You could just enter the dungeon you want to run, click the font and choose the level you want up to what the party leader has unlocked. I don't know if this is a good idea, but it would remove the "bricking of keys feelsbad" and allow you to choose what dungeon to run instead of getting siege for the 10th time in a row. Doesn't solve all the problems but that feels to me like one of the central pain points.

I know you can 100% cancel the cheat death effect on holy priest it but I'm not sure how that interacts with the ress feature, most likely though it will still res you, could avoid that double frontal with an early cancel. always more to learn!

I've been having a ton of fun healing this season but it quickly becomes a headache when pugs don't use their defensives in higher keys. Enjoying Rsham due to having a ton of utility and tools it brings to a key which is nice for pugging. Although I definitely prefer running my Disc priest when i've got my full group together because as hard as healing is this season, the feeling when everyone uses their defensives and you can effectively use your cds to get through rough pulls is just unmatched. I'm working my ass off on Disc, but when the stars align and everyone's locked in i feel very rewarded for going with the more "difficult" healing spec. This is honestly why i love playing Disc, in so many games i often feel like i am punished for playing more difficult characters/classes because there are alternatives that are easier to get much more value out of but Disc feels like one of the rare times that i am being rewarded for skill expression. Unfortunately it does put a lot of pressure on the rest of the party to be on top of their own gameplay to make the most of the spec which is why if i need to deal with pugs i'd much rather hop on my shaman. Priest is ~2.5k rating Shaman is ~1.9k rating

I think what drove me back in BFA to push into higher keys was to test myself : how good can i get , how much dps i can get, can i join the top players? many question passed through my mind, BEFORE any loot or gearing. if anyone decides to take the path of M+m id recommend to have NO expectations of loot because vault can be a naughty affix on its own sometimes. not to mention farming any drop from a dungeon, its terrible. it the game says NO it will be NO maybe for the entire season. Once mindset is changed maybe things will get better for everyone. M+ has taught me many things indeed : i remember once someone asked me 1 sec haha , and i replied: 1 sec , nope, that's an eternity for me xD. Anyway , glad your friend found da tasty taste for m+ !

I think you guys are just alot more resilient than the average player. As someone who has limited time to play i prefer to play with friends more as i get older rather than pug like i used to. I've been healing a long time in WoW and nothing gets on my nerves more than someone who not only blames me for a wipe when it's not my fault but is also incorrect about why we wiped. Maybe i'm just getting too old but i have less and less patience for these people thus i'm not getting as many keys in as i normally would be doing in previous expansions. I am kinda unsure of how i feel about mythic atm. We do great with my friends but pugging just doesn't have the same feel it used to and the problem is skilled healers can't bail bad players out of poor choices in dungeons any more. Which means subpar healers are going to have a hell of a time. TBH i think i'm just ready to put the healer role down and press forward on my newly found passion that is blood DK. It's really all i wanna do. Should the content be nerfed? I think some things should be like the affix this week was awful. But ultimately i'm not too cross with it. Time will tell though, i'm betting on it being nerfed though. In closing i'd like to see healing buffed outside of CD's though. Flash of light really is just a holy power builder when you can't melee the boss and holy light can only be used when you have certain procs to buff it's cast. Today pallies are getting that casting buf so we'll see how it goes.

I dont think it would change it too much. Why not have an option for a timer or have timers come into play at 10+. Something definitely changed with this season. Pug groups are really rough, toxicity at its highest, and players not understanding mechanics. Even when players try to help they are met with refusal. I was running a +9 NW the other day and the key was going really well. We killed the first two bosses and was up in the necropolis. The first pull the tank went and pulled the entire left side. I mean the ENTIRE left side. We wiped and the tank then yells at the healer to watch his runic power (dk). Nobody said a word in chat. We cleared the entire right side, did the mini scenarios with the trash, and spawned the boss. The tank pulls the boss and immediately drops group and breaks the key. I think we had 16 mins or something. I know we was still in the 2 chest for sure. Thats 1 example of many this season. The changes to dungeons was a change but i also think the players are adding to the problem.

Fair play to Harry for enjoying healing but I can't agree with the just play more take I've done hundreds of dungeons this season already and pugs are still just a miserable as they were at the start the dungeons design is overly punishing and feels like they just threw loads of interrupts in as a punishment for no affixes. The new affixes are a vast improvement but these current 8 dungeons all have points that are awful to play.

I also don't think its a matter of perspective I'm pretty sure m+ participation is down from DF mainly because people are taking part in it and not enjoying it. Alot of people I play with have a similar opinion of how m+ at the moment. My warlock friend loves pushing score and even he is hating this season and is extremely frustrated

Seems like you didn't fully understand what was being said here. He is not saying "just play more" he is saying play more with passion and go above and beyond expectations placed on you. That's how you succeed as an off-meta option, and he is totally right about that. At no point was the discussion about dungeon design or interrupts or affixes. In response to your second comment, you'll want to have a look at the infographics going around. Participation is SIGNIFICANTLY up, but that's not really surprising due to the expansion launch and its popularity in general. At the end of the day, anyone who is "hating it" or is "frustrated" after 5 weeks is just not really some one cut out for progression difficulty. Harry talked about some ways to work around that mentally. Which it seems you either just totally ignored or pretended like he was talking about a different topic while discussing it.

@@heythereguysitsMetro Maybe I don't understand from both of your perspectives in DF I would be more in line with what you guys say but this seasons dungeons are not something I can have much passion for the design is destroying any motivation I would have had for it. I do agree as off meta you gotta roll with what you get and try stay positive that's completely fair. The discussion wasn't about dungeons design no but I don't understand the positivity towards this season with the design as it is the dungeons are brutal. I've seen one that was comparing s4 DF to this season but that is a weird comparison to make between a season that didn't even have its own raid and a fresh expansion. I don't really run dungeons for fun in this expansion though I run them to gear my char so I can enjoy raiding. In DF I ran m+ because it was fun and it was also rewarding for gear. You might be right I wish I could ignore the whole m+ system but I enjoy mythic raid and want to be competitive there and to do so you almost have to mythic + too there's just no way around it. If they would deleted all rewards from m+ that'd be great could ignore it lol. With what you said about harry working ways around the problems I just think he has a much more positive view/mindset in life I just can't get in that headspace personally fair play to him for being able to. I am definitely on the side of frustrated but this season isn't a complete failure I think they are just asking too much from most players in the way mainly trash is designed.

I can barely heal it as Rsham. I just don't think priest can do it on 12 and I see where he's at in experience as a healer because I was there too
