What started out as a fun day of bass fishing turned into a multi species slugfest! Matt is fishing Lake Chickamauga and when a storm began to roll in the big fish started feeding! The key to unlocking the multi-species pattern was a blade bait and everything wanted to eat it!
The day started out right with a nice largemouth on the S-Waver. After that Matt really had to work to put together a largemouth pattern, but soon that would be the least of his concerns. When he finally locked the Damiki Vault in his hand and started hopping it around outside structure, big fish started showing up!
A 30" Walleye is a giant fish no matter where you are but its a MONSTER in the South! What a fun experience! Below you'll find links to the exact baits and gear Matt was using. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

That was quite the day Matt. The walleye stocking project was initiated in 2013 below Watts Bar dam on Chickamauga Lake. Fingerling walleye have been stocked each year since then. I see they are doing well. Congrats!

Unbelievable great day Matt, we all would have loved to have been in the boat with you but are happy you taped and shared it with us. You start out with a plan and fate deals you something else. You are so fortunate to be able to live out our dreams and we envy you and Tim for it. Keep up the good work and thank you.

We always kept.the 15-20" ones for dinner. More sustainable, and the smaller ones are better eating. I went to boundary waters Canada(BWCA) a lot as a teenager. Every year we'd usually catch 1 or 2 over 30". One year we hit a school of em in a saddle near 2 islands. Probably 8 over 30" in one day. Most memorable catch I had was when we were fishing the flats off an island. No structure to hold anything, but not far from a decent spot, and there was a deep drop off the flats. Figured we'd hit along the way, maybe catch something. Was high noon, and barely a cloud in the sky. Lure almost to the boat, maybe 15' out, and I see an open mouth emerge from below and suck it in. Pulled in a 32" walleye. Told him he was supposed to be sleeping this time of day and released him, after pictures of course. 🎣

I have never fished Chickamauga or any lake in Tennessee but I was surprised to see you catch yellow perch and walleye. I watch several KZbin'ers from Tennessee and have never seen them catch any or talk about them. That last walleye you caught was a good trophy. Really like the channel because you throw a lot of information out there. Keep up the good work.
