Brilliant test. One thing to consider... Is the stove good for overnight heat too. With smaller stoves, one is happy using smaller sticks. Its quicker to light and lighter to carry. A larger stove will not need to be fed over night. In a larger stove, a bigger log can be used. Cheers 🇬🇧

Yes, exactly we tried out the small stove this camp and as we thought its hard to keep it in all night but it is quick to fire up and warm the space

@hampshireoutdoorsandsurviv9340 This is good to know. Some pals of mine want to live in a tent for a spell, and I warned them to get a bigger stove, and use stove bricks inside, as this keeps the area toasty. 👍

Cheers Mick, excellent comparison of the two stoves with fire logs. I got my outbacker for emergency prepping use in the home, so I don’t regret buying it, although that little Temu stove looks perfect for a small hot tent, I want one, but I am strongly resisting the urge to buy one! I also like the fact it seems to be more fuel efficient too! I’ve got a little Korean butane gas heater for my hot tent which works great, and I know I should stick with that for now! Thanks again mate, very informative 👍🙏

Cool test . I liked it. Id like to see the same test dampened. With no cooking . Just used as a heater. Judging by the video a combination of fuels will give you a sweet spot. Thanks for doing the physics

Nice one Mick. I’ve still yet to use my ‘new’ winnerwell Large Nomad that I had given to me. With any luck, I should be getting a hot tipi tent in the next few weeks, so I’ll give it a go then. Could do with being a bit colder, too. All the best 👍🏾😉🍁

Nice Video Mick, have you ever run the stoves on Charcoal? I'm thinking Briquettes might be compact to take out instead of wood and wondering how they could compare?

I tried one of those weetabix logs in my pizza oven and the black ash clogged up the whole operation. I left the muck in and put 6 proper logs in and turned it all to ash. They're rubbish

What's the name of the temu stove? I'm interested in getting one for a hot tent but I'm unsure as to what exactly I need to search for.

Outdoor survival? Are you serious? You're out of breath lighting a stove and it looks like you survive quite well eating on a couch. If someone has questions on burning fuel in a stove then i can tell you their chance of survival is zero!
@hampshireoutdoorsandsurviv9340Ай бұрын
well lets see 16 years teaching survival around the world both private and military out of breath yes under going treatment for poss lung cancer and 60 years old and i can still keep a sense of humour i am only trying to share tips and ideas and inspire others and lets face it mate at least im making an effort in sharing i hope you have a great week end oh i would have subscribed but you aint got any videos up never mind may be this will get you of your arse to give it a go all the best mick
