You instruct like you have a yoga background. I like this video. I've been working through a hip issue and will work on this. Having the correct mobility makes a big difference in skateboarding and surfing where you have to control the weight shift through your feet. Hip instability offset our spine and neck as well.

One very important aspect to consider is feet alignment; I suffer badly from tight adductors, hip and knee issues. I tried physio, yoga etc. with limited results. In desperation I was referred to a podiatrist, who assessed carvus feet (raised arches) which basically threw every thing above my feet out of alignment; basically the same as having bad wheel alignment in your car tyres. After having orthodics custom made (not the cheap off the shelf versions), after only wearing them for a few weeks, almost instant results. That, combined with the glute exercises done every morning straight after waking, I can finally walk without pain. Id urge anyone suffering from tight adductors to go have your feet checked so everything above is aligned.

100% to the connections between the feet and the hips. You'll find me have some other videos on our channel discussing this. It can go both ways and what needs to be addressed depends on the individual. Thanks so much for highlighting the importance of looking at the kinetic chain and sharing your experience.
