It’s always been like that.

It’s a fairly common occurrence with kittens born in the streets. The cartilage of the tail doesn’t form properly so it has a bit of a strange shape. Luckily in Haru’s case, it’s mostly cosmetic and his tail still has normal function

Thank you for the explanation - much appreciated. I'm pretty sure I saw Haru in a video when he was a kitten a long time ago, but at that time I was watching TY on a Smart TV and could not comment, subscribe or even like. I may be mistaken but it rand a bell as something familiar when I saw it.
