I am sorry but this was so anti-climactic to the whole series.. To be honest I'm actually a little bit annoyed by this 'They chose peace' ending. Obviously you can't just put two beetles on a stick and expect them to fight: 1. The environment is new which is scary to them. 2. Touching them with tweezers won't encourage them; it will only make them feel like the surroundings are dangerous which makes them even less likely to fight eachother. 3. You should've kept them in that terrarium with the stick and check out a couple of times a day if they're ready to battle (by meeting eachother on the stick) But that's just my opinion on this whole season finale

To be honest.... I'm quite satisfied with this ending. I always rooted for Dionysius and knew he would make it to the ending. I feel like since they were use to the other male/female scents they simply identified with them being family. So they never felt hostility towards each other. I like to think they were sad week after week when their siblings were kicked out. So they just made a triad of a pact to not fight and live in peace.

There not fighting at the end as they likely have no energy left and it may just be another few days before they too pass. They are also unlikely to bother breeding at this stage of their lives as they only breed with in the first month of living.
