Fr, my dad and step mom had multiple Rotties and all of them had the chopped tail but not the ears. It really is nice to see.

Rottweiler tend to break their tails by wagging them too hard onto edges, doors etc. Sometimes you have to remove parts of the tail because due to their bad blood circulation it starts to decay.

Our Boy rottie was convinced that the closer he was, the more pets he would get. He kept backing up so hard while sitting that he started to shove our chair over the floor! He also was very talkative and loved to argue with my dad about staying in the kitchen while we ate dinner in the livingroom.

i own/run a no kill in texas, and i have had 2 pure bred rotties come thru both extremely mistreated, abandoned, neglected, and BOTH were still so incredibly loving! never ever an issue, never fought with other dogs. always the first to come to mommie for love. they both stayed with me till the end i lost hallie to advanced bone cancer, and i lost Stella to heart disease. it killed me both times cuz they were beyond the loves of my life! momma misses her girls!

My sis had a rot/chow and a Rot at the same time, they got along with our 2 little ones. Lady ( the Rot ) and our 5 lb. Maltese mix fell in love , played and slept together all the time. Lady treated Ruby like the puppy she never had.

Rottweilers, Dobermans, Alsatians (German Shepherds), and now Pitbulls. I wonder what will be the next breed the internet and dog haters will go manic over with their lies. *LIES* because they have never been "bad" dogs, but many have had bad owners. They are intelligent, protective, and highly trainable but many have been trained badly or trained the wrong way. My father's Alsatians were good girls, guard dogs for his farm, each had their own recliner in the house. They were friendly to all who were properly "introduced" to them, but one did rip the pants and a chunk of buttock from an intruder. She was a very good girl.

I grew up around Rottweilers and Doberman, and later on Pitbulls, and they are the biggest goofballs. Just the nicest dogs you could want to meet. I've never felt threatened by any of them, and none of them ever bit me. Pitties can be hyper, and Rotties and Dobies stubborn and overprotective, but they're really great animals around kids.

My 3rd cousin owned a farm when I was a child, and he always had dogs of all sizes. One was a Rottweiler. That dog was so sweet, and he would follow and play with us all over the farm. He always killed snakes, which kept others safe.

I love seeing 'bully breeds' winning over people by being sweet, lovey marshmallows. The only reason they got bad reputations is because dog fighters snatched them up for their more solid builds. I think a lot of them were originally bred to be guard dogs, loyal and family friendly but strong enough to hold their own in a fight with attackers if needed.

A friend of mine's parents used to have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and he was the goodest of boys. He joined in with our shenanigans, played cricket with us, and my friend's little brother learned to walk by grabbing the dog's tail, smacking him on the bum, and pulling himself upright by the dog's tail as the dog walked off. I owned 2 Rotties, sisters. One was very vocal and you would think she was vicious, especially when asked for a kiss. She would growl, show her teeth and then lick you to death! The other one always had to bring you a gift, anything she could get in her mouth, when she was happy to see you. They are very loyal and loving dogs that like pits, have a bad reputation.

They are hilariously vocal and so gentle and loving 🥰❤️ Excellent family dogs, love their people and the other animals in the home. Yup, my Rotti acts very much the same. 99% goofball, 1% it's unique character. What I like is a Rotti's capacity to read people. A dog never lies about love and shows gratitude. who hasn't had their knee licked after their rotti has eaten dinner. Such a happy dog.

I have had different breeds and also worked as a K9 officer. You are doing fantastic well socializing your Rotties and talking to them. They feel love just like you and me. Yes, Rotties talks and roars a lot. My Rottie loved to practice, during the training he could sound like a lion that wanted me for dinner. He never once in his life bite anyone.

My Rottweiler always gets someone to go 'Awww' at her almost every time I take her out for a walk! One time two female police officers pulled their car over just to say hi to her and of course, my girl ate up the attention! We had rotties. People who think they're some sort of wild beast haven't a clue that dogs are a reflection of their owners. Rotties are super loyal and protective. You just need to not be stupid and do something like attack the owner of one. I remember being on a walk with one of our rotties and some dude walked up to me (he seemed high or drunk). Our dog was super vigilant and knew there was an issue versus other times when random people just say hello. Super smart dogs.

Although, if you have your heart set on a puppy, there are lots of puppies in rescue centres (and adopting is also far cheaper than buying from a money hungry breeder)!!

So so sad but oh so true. People that growl and are aggressive only want these dogs as a symbol thinking the dog makes them bad ass’. That’s really the issue. Sadly many people need training to learn how an animal any animal should be treated. I once took a beautiful staffy that was chained to a fence from Fri. to Sun. The guy was pissed I really didn’t care I gave her to my cousins girl who immediately put her in baby clothes. I knew I made the best choice I could have for that pup.
