He likely thought that it stopped with GX era, while Ronintoadin came out in 5Ds era. He didn't really catch on until he had gone through the second path already, and by Tha point he likely thought it wasn't worth digging in the water pack just hoping to get one.

As much as I LOVE this concept, man these duels were unbalanced. Dzeeff played basically GX era Frog Monarchs MBT: hey that's really neat, anyway normal summon Vyon send Shadow Mist Either Dzeeff got really unlucky, or the HERO cards are just stacked as fuck. Still really funny to see these games play out.

Might be because they are usually listed in a different order. @19:07 according to SEGOC (simultaneous effects go on chain) - rules, mandatory effects have a lower chain link than optional effects. Should both players have cards with mandatory/optiona effects, the turn player goes first. In this scenario, the turn player controlled Sangan, a monster with a mandatory effect. The other player controlled Peten, a monster with an optional effect ("you can banish it) So the chain would be: CL1 Sangan, CL2 Peten Because of that, Peeten's effect would activate first and not miss timing.

Yup. If an effect has a limited amount of uses per turn and the activation gets negated, then you sitll haven't ticked down the count. However if it's activated and the *effect* is negated, then it was sitll activated. It all depends on what the card says. LaDD says negate the activation, not negate the effect.
