Definitely will be missing your videos as u take time to do some gobbler hunting! I was out there LP Friday was able to put a nice mess of those specs and flat boys together. Started w green hornet but could not get a bite. Switched to shrimp creole landed a few , but the main bait was the ghost minnow by marker 54. The big girls loved it till the tide quite at 1045am!)) good luck hunting. Get back soon fishing!

One vital thing folks don’t know is that you MUST get the jig to the bottom ! Let some line out after the jig hits the water.

Avocado huh? I think I fished the same day a little further down and struggled to get any kind of artificial bite. I was fishing lighter colors like glow, and magneto. Had to use live shrimp to finally start catching
@Jar_Fishing8 ай бұрын
I tried a couple other colors and didn’t get a nibble

Great video! I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos. I fish the Hopedale area more than I do any other areas. Very cool to plug your church and invite others to join! My son attends Bethany in Baton Rouge, and my wife, my younger son & I attend Istrouma Baptist Church. God bless! Hope you have a happy Resurrection Day!

Don’t worry, I’m too cheap for any of that stuff anyway lol. When my dad and I first got that boat it came with a nice fishfinder but I kept ripping the transducer off running shallow water in the marsh lol.

What size weight you find works bests for you fishing that Texas rigged craw in the marsh?

Yep, turkey season and spring trout fishing. Why they have to be at the same time! :)

It’s painful to miss the fishing, but turkey hunting always wins out with me. Probably because we only get to do it a few weeks a year. Imagine if fishing season was only a month or so lol.

I see everyone fishing the trestle, I can't wait to try it myself. The wife and I are planning a road trip down south and that is one of our stops along with Bienvenue and Hopedale. Great video brother. see you on the next one.

I’m much better at the Bienvenue game, but I still like going to the trestle every now and then because if you catch it on the right day, it can be magic.

Nice to know dem specks out at de Trassles!!Cap Kenny Kreeger(11.99 lb speck)used to toss nuttin but Hybrids and obviously dey work like a charm.I prefer Lunker City lures,specifically their Shaker line,so appropriately named as BOTH de head and tail shake when retrieved and their line-up of colors is more than incredible and their Pro-S jigheads outta dis worls!!Intend to thin out de speck and flounder population this Th!!

Too bad we not only had a boat parade out at the Trestles,the winds forecasted were supposed to be N til about 10 when they were supposed to be NNW and ONLY 2 mph.Turns out the winds were way stronger making the use of a trolling motor USELESS!!Looks like ya had NO boats around,totally unlike what we had!!Ended up with a keeper red and small flounder-maybe folks dat hit S end of Trestles fared out OK.Gonna see when my next Trestles trip gonna be and also we needed 1/2 oz jigheads,something I rarely use but yesterday we needed 1/2 oz jigheads!
