The end of this week had me micro-managing my feeding time as I need to observe EVERY ewe who looks to be backing off her feed in case its a pre-curser to pregnancy toxemia.
The ewes I caught last week thankfully look to be improving, but there's still a few I have my eye on.
We finished our wheat, and even got our straw baled and stored for the year which was a big job, but so glad to be done.
AND... Monday brought our second miscarriage. Hoping we don't see anymore of this as we round the corner to lambing season.

I really love how ethical you are with your sheep. You do everything you can for them and that's amazing. I know it is probably hard when all you want is happy, healthy and productive animals and things keep going wrong, but you're an inspiration, truly, seeing you improve your practices year by year.

Farmers have to treat their animals well, they are friends, family and ultimately sustains the farmers family. They get nothing for dead, diseased or poor animals. Farming is expensive whether you just raise grain or grass or livestock. I have never met a farmer who abused their animals and land and was successful

Does everybody know that KZbin demonetized Sandi again because (gasp!) she showed the stillborn lamb? I clicked on "Send Feedback" & complained to KZbin once again for their unwarranted, unwanted censorship of SheepishlyMe. From the comments, I don't see people objecting to being triggered or repelled by images of birth, illness or death. From the comments, I see people responding positively to Sandi's integrity & honesty in showing us the WHOLE of her life - including the Good, the Bad & the Ugly. We're fully aware that we're not watching carefully scripted Hallmark movies & that's exactly WHY so many of us find Sandi & what she shares so therapeutic. It's not all wrapped up with a perfect ribbon. That's not life. Sandi shows us how she survives & thrives, as does her flock. Bad KZbin, BAD! 💕💕

(I know I'm super late) Unfortunately demonetization has much more to do with what content companies are comfortable having ads over than what people are comfortable seeing. So it's still super dumb to have factual, real-life situations like this censored and creators punished, but the ad-friendliness is the piece that KZbin cares about

It’s disheartening but not a surprise. None of it has anything to do with any of the fluids which is why she has added filters. It’s a fine line that animal farmers walk. They can not show anything that could be thought of as negative. Life and death r natural but in todays controlled society anything that could effect the bottom line (money) will be tapped out. The meat industry is alive and well and they want customers just as much as Tobacco companies do. Many r affected enough to stop eating some meats. That affects the meat industry where it counts. I was lucky enough to become friends with a family who’s dad was a work from home KZbin person. It’s been 8 years since their move to cali but I’m certainly things have gotten worse.

Girl, you amaze me. I keep hearing you blame yourself for any problems you have with your sheep. Then I watch you recover and come up with better solutions for your animals. You are always looking for ways to give your animals a better life. You don't realize how much joy you bring into OUR lives. I love it when I see you have posted another video. I laugh with you, cry with you and pray for you every day. Keep on showing us your heart. Hugs and prayers for you, my sweet friend.

It's funny because they're not even considered big farmers. Which seems crazy. Tara out in Australia runs up to 10,000 sheep. Can you imagine that? Seems crazy. This lambing doesn't seem to be starting out too great, but I'm hoping for much better soon. I hope Sandi can get the 2 sides cleaned out and ready for lambing soon. We range from all across the US, with none of us being any closer than 5 hours driving time apart. Sandi, I have a brand new grand baby, 2 weeks old and we all noticed when she gets fussy she quiets down when she hears you. I know she can't see very good right now but she is fixed on the tv when you are on it.. My son was up with her all night last night so he went to the living room to rock her to let mom sleep. He turned KZbin on and picked a video from like 2 years ago.. You not only calmed baby down but my son watched multiple videos after baby fell asleep. Im sure he's really tired today but he said at lunchtime he can't wait to get home and pick up where he left off from last night lol. At one time we had you on 3 of the 4 tv's in the house because we were passing baby around to try to get her to sleep.. All we needed was some Sandi... much love

Woohoo! Preg tox numbers have come down. I'm sorry for the stillbirths. Sandi u are one of a kind❣️ Girl u handled everything so well. When u were stacking bales on the trailer I was shouting "Go girl, look at u! U the pro!" I really needed this today.....my cancer has come back for a 4th time and is now metastatic. I'm scared. So when I can take my mind off it for even a lil while it's the best. Love from North Carolina ❤🐑🐕‍🦺

Not weird at all. And they do a lot of the same body-working work, so they're both so lean! Sandi may be in the barn, but during the harvest times, she's right out there with those big machines, too. They seem pretty close in what they like to do with their down time. It'll be interesting if in their later years when they aren't doing as much strenuous work, will they get little pot-bellies! LoL Maybe Mark, but I'm thinking Sandi won't allow that to happen. I'm older, so I'm not sure if I'll be around to see it, but it sure will be fun to watch. Thanks for your comment! I got a big smile out of just thinking about it.!

So many reasons why i love your channel. First, you love your family and it shows in everything you do. Last year you all went through some terrifying life issues and you all just kept moving forward. It was hard for you all of course but everyone kept on going when most people would have fallen. I count myself in the latter. Second you love your animals. Each and every one gets your full attention. I know the sheep are your business but they mean more to you than that. Third no matter what you are working on you give 110 % and you do it with a smile on your face. Seeing you working side by side with Mark is so wonderful. Thanks for all you do and sharing parts of your life with us.

Sandi, I can't say enough about how I love to watch your videos. I admire you for so many reasons. Your videos are sort of kick in the pants I need some days. My health makes getting enough done some days a real challenge to say the least. But then... I watch your latest video & how hard you work, your dedication to everything on your farm, not the least being your sheep. I get inspired to get back up & get more done. So... thank you for that. I cry with you when there's a loss in the barn, I also cheer you on when there's a success, like today with how your mama's tested. Of all the channels I choose to follow, I am probably the most "removed" from your situation. The farm/field work & your sheep are all things I would have loved to do I'm my life, but life went a different way for me. Just know I'm one of those people that live vicariously thru you & enjoy your videos more than you can know. Be well, rest up whenever you can going into lambing again & be pleased with the positive impact you have on people. God bless you and yours Sandi. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
