Some of the best looking bikes ever IMO. They paved the way for the wrap around tank shrouds now standard on KTM/KXF/CRF. And that was in 2000. Bold design team.

Great to see Mx passion like this and it’s why we still have older two stroke bikes that look like new, well done that man 👏

Thanks dude there is a couple more to come my son is building a Y2k Chiodi bike and I ve got an Ferracci frame, shock, forks and triple clamp so I am going to build one of those whether it’s a Chiodi version or a steve Lamson version o don’t know yet
@onlygazza4 жыл бұрын
sonnie mee-harris this might be if interest to you, I was listening to Steve Lamson being interviewed on the whiskey throttled show last year and he talked about that bike a lot, he actually liked it but had a few problems getting the parts back then, very interesting. I’m doing a 1999 Cr 250 at the moment and I even though we’re older and slower us older riders have more passion for the sport than ever 😃✊

Gazza yeah the FBF team mechanics was most off the problem they we tarmac guys didn’t understand dirt suspension and didn’t really want to work on shitty bikes they only got him a hike ready a week before the 1st race so he couldn’t test then there was the swing arm issue major issue was Lamson came to Italy and tested Chiodis factory bike and he was like yeah I can win on this then the factory sent the team stock bikes off the production line and crates full of parts for them to bolt on it didn’t work out to well Karl from the Motorex uk team was sending them parts and settings and stuff to try out by 2002 but I think it was too late it could have been so different if husky had of taken it really seriously

Watched the whiskey throttle interview with lammy really good if only he had the same machinery he tested it could have been so different, major issues them swing arms in 01 a whole run with bad welds we spent a day re doing the faulty weld in 01 some lasted some didn’t I still have a cracked one in my workshop

What are they asking for the bike?

You look like a Giant on the Husqvarna 125 , Mate . Ever think about going to a 250 ? I believe it will suit you better . I know the 125's are a whole lot of fun . Some 250's are about the same size but with much more power . When I was 13 years old I was working and I bought my first CR125 and about mid year I was able to buy a 250 . Loved riding both , the 250 was much more powerful and faster so when I got back on the 125 I could pin the throttle WFO and scream around the track . You bring back a lot of memories . Have fun and thanks for the video , Mate . 😊

Where did you find the plastics specifically the plastics on the gas tank. Im from Canada and the only ad I can find is on ebay. Mine is a cr250 husky same year as yours so might be different not sure

@@firesquad6150 If that's all that's really wrong with it. some parts for the engine are very hard to find. I like owning bikes that it's still easy to buy all parts for.

@@onenessseeker5683 it will be my first time rebuilding a bike. I’m really not worried I will be able to do it. But just thinking of the numbers and if it makes sense. I haven’t given an offer yet but won’t be in for 1000$
