Producing useless things is not gonna increase prosperity of a society. More tax revenue =/= Better budget. If you want to have better budget, make it balanced, and find people who evade taxation. Don't spend money on Immigrants Throw every illegal into jail, and make it a crime to refuse identification as an immigrant. If they refuse to identify their country of origin, they will be forever jailed. Make them work in jails as well. People will stop comming illegally. If people will stop comming illegally, Legal immigration will be easier to monitor. Etc. If you want to give people jobs, make public projects, and make those public projects make sense. Don't produce things just to produce things.
@zackbosher1042 ай бұрын
The incentive is not to give people jobs. Public projects give politicians the incentive and not the tax payer - most public projects are simply a public coffer wealth extraction scheme legitimized for the reason "for the good of the public". HS2 comes to mind. The incentive ought to be skilled work and increased pay over time. Illegals are competing with natives over low skilled jobs, from businesses who hire from their own genetic pool, creating enclaves. The real issue is the public pension scheme scam. Georgia meloni is a prime example of rationalising "maintaining public pensions via immigration". The birth rate is dwindling everywhere and the only way a country can maintain it is by ever increasing the population size. Remove public pensions, remove the incentive for politicians to import immigrants, incentivise natives to have children which will in turn reinstate traditional culture. But of course, this is all pie in the sky and will never happen under our current crop of international banking elite.

Medical studies have found that unless you smoke half a kilo of shisha a day, you have no noticable decrease in lung function compared to that of a non smoker. It's like when they tried to demonize vaping in the US because it didn't classify as a tobacco product and was exempt from tobacco taxes. So it got a decade long smear campaign about how vaping is a gateway drug to get you into smoking, when studies (including one funded by the government of England) Found vaping to be 95% less harmful than cigarettes. But you know "smoke" comes out so it's all the same thing, right? This is why you should be required to prove competency in a subject before being allowed to vote on anything pertaining to it.

it's about creating hatred between smokers and non smokers then they justify a massive tobacco tax increase with support. i've been living through this horseshit for years in Canada. presently in the park next to my place if i smoke tobacco it's a $1000 fine however, smoking weed, crack, banging heroine that's okay. WTF?

Funny how they keep on creating division. Almost like they want trouble.

No, none of that is ok either. It's sickening that over here in Scotland, that they are trying to make places for people to go and use class A drugs, but if by some miracle it does work as intended, it does mean that it won't be on the streets at least, and can deal with the issues more easily. Sorry for the tangent. Honestly, smoking is still an objectively bad thing though, harming the user, at best inconveniencing those around that don't smoke, if not straight up harming them as well, and most likely not even getting the full taxes that's expected from it, as who would want to pay extra for the privilege of poisoning themselves?

@@christophermonteith2774 I live in Scotland, do you honestly think they won't bring in a ban on smoking outdoors and ridiculous fines? Price per unit for alcohol, going up in September btw, still not banned but using the same principle how long before it's priced out of most people's pockets. Let's contrast with Scotland's soaring drug use how's that illegality worked out? Proposed opening of drug centre's great if it's not on your doorstep, especially for the anti drugs, anti smoking, anti drinking puritan's leafy suburbs. You're entitled to your opinion, you want smoking banned entirely. In my opinion, it's freedom of choice that's being attacked.

Point of reflection: 2005 ish ... the government state that any smoking ban would only apply to where people are eating food. "Nobody is suggesting banning people from smoking in pubs". The ban was eventually rolled out in Scotland first
