I was in a remote village in Nepal and the guesthouse I stayed in had family photo with Jimmy Carter. He had stayed in their house working with an organization to cure glaucoma. What a wonderful human being.

It's beautiful that we're able to live to see our nation's first ever 100-year old President. He shares the same birth month of 3 of my close family members, so I find it to be that much closer to me. My Dad has told me that his great, great grandmother (or along those lines) was married to the famous singer Johnny Cash. He had a family member with the last name of Carter, who was related to June Carter, who is also a distant cousin of our former President. I'm not sure if that's 100% right, but I do remember him telling us that story. It's so special. Happy early 100th birthday, President Carter!! :)

When I moved to GA 4 yrs ago from MI ( and helped turn it blue lol), I was so looking forward to meeting you somehow as I was told you taught Sunday school at your library etc. Unfortunately it was right in the middle of the pandemic and everything had halted.
