Two years later, several Uvalde officers still haven't had any active shooter training

It has been two years since the deadliest school shooting in Texas history, where 19 fourth-grade students and two teachers were murdered just hours after their end-of-the-year ceremonies.
Records and body camera video show that nearly 400 officers showed up at the scene, but waited 77 minutes before entering the classroom and taking out the gunman.

Here's an idea. If this is a requirement for Uvalde "officers" (and I cringe having to type those two words that close together) to undergo this training, the citizens should elect to stop paying their salaries and not recognize them as law enforcement.

I think people think too small. How does training 12 Uvalde officers offset over 400 officers from 20 different agencies including the military all failing as well? They didn't lack training, they said they were SCARED.

Just because they received training doesn't mean they'll be punished in the event they don't follow their training. This is a waste of tax dollars when there's zero accountability. The taxpayers of Uvalde must be total fools.
