No matter the reason for changing, the #1 thing that should always be considered is if the change is positive or better. Listen, my dad changed because to be a BETTER PERSON who can be a role model for his daughter. My mother used to be hotheaded. She changed to be a better role model for me. I know men and women who have stopped cheating for their significant others. Charlie wasn't in love with Chelsea for her gash. He's had plenty of that already. He was in love with who she was as a person. A person has a personality, tendencies, and traits that is unique among all 9 billion people on this Earth. So no, he couldn't just find her anywhere. And the person she left him for was a better person. Charlie is a miserable person, that has been proven in the show several times. Him changing for Chelsea, for himself, or whatever the reason would have done him plenty of good.

Well don’t change for a woman in some situations when you try to be someone that you’re not like pretending to be rich for example. Charlie really should’ve changed cause being a womanizer was ruining his life. He even got beaten the crap out of by the husbands whose wives Charlie had been messing with.
