I've had my Bighorn for two years now. It scared me a bit when I first flew it because it seemed so twitchy, but now that I've gotten used to it, I really enjoy it. I'm no 3D pilot, but I can do inverted flat spins with mine...and I just think that's a super cool maneuver. It's a really good plane.

Jon, this was an excellent review! We have been asking you for months and You totally delivered with this fantastic video! 10/10 I really like the voice over Jon and pilot Jon!! I know what I’m picking up as my first plane of 2024! The Bighorn! Thank you for the set up guide at the end it’s fantastic and super helpful.

I've had this plane for over a year and I just love it. Yes you can fly it in 4s. It will fly really lazy or crazy. I fly off of grass so yes I had to put bigger wheels. But again I love it and for the price it's amazing. I don't have to tell you, but put some full span ailerons and crow and its nuts.

This thing fly's amazing!! of course with the proper skill level. Another great review Jon. I've thought about getting the BigHorn for a while now, I might just have to splurge a little. I think I'd try the FMS 1300 pa-18 wheels/tires, if they're not too heavy. Thanks for your efforts and videos to the rc aircraft hobby. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, AirHammer out!!

Nice review, I found the same thing with the 65" OMP Bushmaster, the stiff gear takes a little getting used to but it can be landed smoothly once you get used to the characteristics of the plane. It's no springy soft Timber but it does a lot of other stuff better. Like most things in life there are sacrifices to be made in some areas for performance gains in other areas. I'm tempted by the Bighorn but will be waiting for the 100" version they have coming. 😊

@@TwoBrosRC mine will be gasoline powered, I've been waiting for something to throw my OS GT33 into for a couple years, just missed the Timber 110" so the Bighorn looks like the best option available (when they finally release it).

Thanks for the review! I've been flying this for 2years and I wish I could do some of the things you do with it. I don't know why my knife edges are super easy, maybe because I fly on 4s or my cg is different but they are effortless. Did you try a knife edge flat spin? This is the only plane I have that can do them! Again, thanks for the review and if you come up with a good tire setup let us know what you use. Merry Christmas to you and your audience!!!!

This one might benefit from a gyro. No I don’t think every plane should have one, but if it’s got goofy characteristics it can be helpful. Crack turbo beaver is like that. Terrible coupling. Added a Vbar Neo and it’s awesome.
@TwoBrosRC8 ай бұрын
It uses a gyro and still has a lot of coupling issues.

This video is a good example of why I wasn’t excited when you started to get free airplanes. A lot of your time was spent reviewing planes that were not a good fit for you. If your goal was to be an RCSaylors with more tumbling, you really nailed it. But for $3 an hour, why? (Nothing against RCSaylors) This review was great. But I think that’s in large part because you chose the plane.

Our annual income doesn't depend on KZbin. There's plans to hopefully be able to retire and focus entirely on the channel, but that's a long way from now. Our main source of income comes from Jon's career, which pays very well. So he's not pressured by companies because he can buy models to review - it's not a situation where TBRC's ability to film content is dependent upon being sent models to shoot. If you really go into it, you can find reasons to complain, but that's often driven by a particular reviewer's conflict of interest - they want it to be something it isn't, and the model they want it to be happens to be a model they can make affiliate cash from. That's not how we run this channel. We try to approach each model from the perspective of "What was it designed for, and can it be pushed beyond those limits?" The airframes sent to us aren't free. The amount of work it takes to fly them, record, edit, optimize each video, and engage with the community is a net negative in terms of money. It would be cheaper for us to buy airframes and just fly them and enjoy the hobby without being F-list celebrities on KZbin. We do what we do out of passion and enjoyment and wishing to share knowledge and tips/techniques or product reviews to showcase what these airframes are truly capable of. If we wanted to be like the people you mentioned, we'd simply say everything is the best ever and never find any complaints about them. Or bother pushing them to do more than fly in circles in SAFE. We review models in this fashion even if we don't buy them. The simple fact of RC flight is that most consumer-grade hobby airplanes are good out of the box, with some quirks for each one, and we try to cover those quirks and provide our viewpoint on them.

I more than appreciate your videos & honest reviews. Nothing turns me off more than someone “sailing” through review after review with one product after another from the same distributor/manufacturer/brand. Like anyone can trust a single word spoken. Keep up the great work. I know it takes A LOT of time and effort to bring high quality content to the table, but i see your channel growing exponentially and possibly becoming a very enjoyable full time gig.

Timbers are more stable, and better for flying in confined areas or off rough terrain. Bighorn is a wooden Timber X that's half the weight, and we'd take it over a Timber X every time.
