I totally agree this one is underrated Jon. I LOVE flying it. I have to say though, mine is bone stock (other than turning up the diff thrust to 30), and it harriers and hovers great and is very stable. BUT...I'm entering smoothly and not snapping it in. Also you're doing more with it than I am and for that I'm sure the weight reduction helps! Impressive flying man!

got it all set up, weight out, as3x+ set up to my liking and, well, you were right, this thing harriers around at 2 mph 6" off the ground and I can not get it to stall. Amazing plane and set-up, thanks for your help

Oh man that is SweeeeeT 😋 Almost looks like a C-130 exception of missing 2 engines. They normally have 4 engines on them. I'll have to look up the USAF designation for that Charlie model. I just love it. That is one weed ride 💯🇺🇸👊😎❤️‍🔥

Especially with this link due to the tutorial that you had explained is going to help quite a few of them be able to do totally rad maneuvers. This journey of you and your brother is going to grow exponentially and I pray with many blessings. Just hang in there. I'm going to find a cockpit camera and a program. So after takeoff it'll go on a certain route including terrain following and then come back within your AO to take back control. That would be cool. That would be badass. Don't give up 👊😎

Broke a prop in the water back in April and still haven’t been able to fly it because the prop has been on backorder. Miss it so much, it was by far my favorite plane. Was 100 percent my fault it broke as well. Hard water landing.

Nope, completely disabled. It would actually interfere with the maneuvers we're doing here. All of them except for flat spins, but it flat spins perfectly without differential!

Jon - love the videos and your explanations are great. You mention there is a spm setup file for DX radios on your discord but I only see the ISPM and NSPM for the EC-1500. Do the NX files convert to SPM?

I like the Avios C130 better, but certainly the eflite C1500 has an airframe that is more forgiving, and as you can see, you can do crazy things with it

I set mine up with as3x+, then 1 minute in I wing stalled... I mean dropped a wing, went into a spin and didn't have enough height to recover. I think I pushed too much rudder at low speed and started a skid. Crushed nose, broke one prop and foam parts of both motor - wing mounts, broke nose wheel servo and poped out assembly. On the up side, the weight was very easy to remove from the crushed nose. If I can get this thing back together, it should fly even better 😮

To be clear, I am 99% sure this was pilot error, nothing to do with gyro

Too much rudder at just the right speed can absolutely cause a skid - but happy to see that you're not letting it get you down. Just remember that if Jon can do this, you can do it too. Practice and patience is all it takes!

i wonder why they didnt leave the extra weight out and just have the battery further forward stock. would make the plane lighter whether you want it a little nose heavy or neutral and itd be alot easier to push the cg back for those that would want to
