Seriously! I gave birth six weeks ago, two weeks post partum I thought I had a UTI and kidney infection. My husband insisted that we go to the ER because I was also vomiting. Over the next 5 days I had a total of three ER visits, each one my husband insisted that I was not ok and that I needed to be seen in the ER, and insisted that I go in. The first one they found that I had several blood clots on my right lung. Second visit they discovered that I had a huge number of large gallstones, the third visit they discovered that I had clots in my uterus, and acute pancreatitis. I was admitted to the hospital and had surgery to remove my gallbladder the next day. And my husband took time off of work to care for our newborn and we are four weeks post surgery, and he is still off of work caring for me and our newborn. This poor girl is in a relationship with a man child, not a man. A man doesn’t do the kind of crap he pulled.

I got a really bad rash during a vacation with my boyfriend &, though we suspected it probably wasn’t life threatening, it was so itchy & painful that I was suffering. After 2 days of seeing the rash worsen my boyfriend took control: he called to get us on the next ferry home (we were in a different country), then drove like a mad man to get me there. He took me to the first emergency room once we were off the ferry & stayed my side for hours. Once I got released with only a prescription for an antihistamine he said he wanted to take me to a different ER near our home a few hours away because he felt they hadn’t done enough to help my current state. He proceeded to drive all night to get me to the other ER where they took me in right away & gave me something for the itching/burning. The man literally did not rest until he saw me doing better. I cannot believe the AUDACITY of the dude who ignored his girlfriend to get a couple more hours of sleep after playing video games all night. With the doctor's belittling your pain as a woman, I told my primary care doctor that I felt a lump in my breast. Turns out I do have a lump in my boob, and it's considered high risk for cancer. I'm changing my doctor. You can't fucking trust these people. Crazy thing is, I went to this doctor on my dad's recommendation, because she always took him seriously. The misogyny, even from women.

I have gotten to the point when they start going down the condescending/gas lightning path, I stop them and start saying 'Can you see through my eyes? Can you hear my thoughts, feel my feelings?'. When they say no, cause they always do, I finish the talk with 'Then how in the hell are you sitting there saying it is all in my head? Or that it is not as bad as I say it is?'. It generally shuts them up.

I’ve no idea what are you guy’s diagnosis, but I’ve got a psychosomatic pain syndrome, and I think part of the issue might be that we doctors (I’m a doctor as well as a patient) don’t get much training in how to recognize or treat those conditions. Ruling out physical issues is easy, understanding why someone has debilitating symptoms when their body seems fine is the hard part. Besides, it really saddens me that we as a society treat things like anxiety as not as valid as other conditions. We always have to rule out physical problems, but what if it’s anxiety? We shouldn’t be considered hysterical, or problematic, because of that… Btw, if anyone has weird symptoms that no one can diagnose, maybe you might want to check out the “like mind, like body” podcast (at curablehealth.com) and see if what’s happening to you has any similarities to the stories there. I’m not being sponsored by them, just sharing something that has helped me

The fourth story, the older brother definitely had a thing for his younger brother’s girlfriend. He probably specifically brought this girl in because he knew she would try to get with his younger brother and was hoping that he’d slip and get them to breakup that night so he could swoop in and save the day and “console her”. When it didn’t work he went for attacking the entire family and threatening to leave.

My theory: He enjoyed the feeling of her eating her sail pet. He enjoyed that she ate her pet. He enjoyed killing the slug and due to the argument, he wanted to be the mastermind of hurting her. He said he was born to be her care taker but only to exploit and control. He latched onto finding slugs because it’s Similar to snails without shells that will most likely leave behind evidence. He is reliving that “high” of controlling her and getting her to eat things that she has an emotional attachment too. Although she didn’t know about the slugs, she was emotionally attached to the mouse family. He controls her emotions, food, and the slugs. Everyday he relives this high as a fun game to control someone else without them knowing. He’s a true psychopath due to lack of empathy, pretending emotions, inability to attach relationships (no guilt and feeling unashamed to tell his friends about his action), manipulative, dishonest, and able to plan out long term manipulation tactics. He also takes long term Risks in schemes regardless of punishments

Yes, he is EVIL. How DEEPLY hateful!!! I would rather someone give me a poisonous chemical than something people would consider *gross* to eat, and I think that was his very purpose for choosing what he did. He liked that it was MORE sick to FEED her things that would be considered "disgusting." It is a far more personal, hate-driven, and intentionally demeaning and dehumanizing action. And as far as making her eat her own pet... I cannot even describe how hideously, disgustingly evil and cruel this was. And for what reason? To his long-term girlfriend who loved him? This would be unfathomable even to do to an enemy. Which, to me, just illustrates that he is truly on the same plane as the most famous serial killers in regard to his mental state and his lack of humanity.

The second story really hit home for me. I just had a kidney stone problem while driving last weekend and my boyfriend left work, immediately drove to where I was, drove me to the hospital, and then took me to a different one when the first one couldn't treat me. He spent 7 hours in hospital waiting rooms and another hour and a half holding my hand while I laid in a hospital bed getting fluids and medication through an IV. He was in communication with my family all day letting them know how it was going and he took me to all my follow up appointments and lab work I needed to have done. We haven't even been together that long! I don't know what I would've done without him and can't imagine having such an unsupportive partner.

The man who was doing “experiments” on his partner and said he felt “compelled” to do it sounds like he might want to consider treatment for munchausen’s by proxy. He said that he feels it is his “purpose to care for her.” Yet he feels compelled to do her harm, so that he can then continue of in his caretaker role. I know when most people think about munchausen’s by proxy, they think of mothers with children. And while that is the most commonly caught case, it is not the only expression of the illness. People with this disorder have been known to seek out elderly partners, chronically ill partners, or even mentally ill partners to care for before they proceed with sabotaging their health.

This honestly hits home with the UTI, I was in the military and knew I had a UTI but the mission comes first so I was going to try and push through a 3 day in the middle of no where work set. We aren’t allowed to leave the compound and for 3 days it got progressively worse and my stomach was in such pain it felt like I was being stabbed at every move. Mind you we were roving on country hills in busted humvees. I told my superior at the time and he told me to sleep it off and if I wasn’t sure it was my period. After sleeping it was worse and he finally let me go after the 3 days and one of my friends drove me two hours back to base. Then at the hospital the doctors made jokes asking if I wasn’t sure I was pregnant and prescribed me some advil. I got to my barracks late at night and woke up in physical pain and barely able to move. I tried calling my boyfriend to tell him to get the military ambulance to my barracks and he texted back “what do you want me to do about it” ….. suffice to say my best friends boyfriend who was a coreman ended up getting me an ambulance. Sadly on the ambulance ride both the men in there were making jokes and how I was being dramatic and when I told them their driving was making me sick they didn’t believe me. On a 2 min ride I threw up twice and when I got to the hospital and they took tests again I had a kidney infection from the UTI… and they finally were concerned about the blood in my urine. 😞 this was just one of several things that would happen.

For the UTI story, gods I feel so bad for her! Small story from me of something similar but it was positive. I took off work for a day due to horrid cramps over the weekend, thought it was my time of the month it's normal for me. The next day however when I woke up after getting spotty sleep all night to get ready for work at 6am, I was experiencing the worst pain I've ever felt. Like someone was stabbing me in the gut & jabs of pain would spark up. I couldn't even go to the bathroom it was so horrible & as I was slowly making my way back to the bed the shocks of pain caused me to fall on the ground waking my boyfriend up. He immediately got me up from the ground & sit me down on the bed, starting to help me dress in comfortable clothes saying "f you're new job! I'm taking you to the hospital right now!" He brought me in & raised HELL in the ER because they weren't taking me seriously. It wasn't until I literally passed out in the wheelchair from both the pain & lack of sleep over 3 days then my body jolted me awake so hard I puked into my N95 mask (this was at the very beginning of the panorama). They rushed me back & I honestly thought I was gonna die but he was there with me the entire time, giving the supervisors crap for how they treated me before. Thankfully it wasn't serious but I am required to go get surgery soon (FINALLY!). I'm so happy he was there both with a cool level head but one that was willing to speak up on my behalf to get shit done. I do hope OP realizes there ARE better men out there who aren't like that arse wipe, that she deserves much more & I hope she's doing better 😔

Hi! So I just wanted to respond to some of the comments regarding UTIs in women! Cystitis (bladder infection) is actually extremely common among women. It’s thought this is because there is a shorter distance between the “back door” and the urethra. Common causes can include: not peeing after intercourse, wiping from back to front, certain types of contraception, kidney stones, etc. Also, dysuria (painful urination) is a common symptom in both UTIs and certain STIs! So if your urinalysis does not show evidence of infection, it is a good idea to check for STI. Just thought this might be good information to share, especially for other women. 😊

The UTI story resonated with me and I’m sure a lot of other girlfriends to terrible boyfriends. I got a story, bear with me: I lived with my boyfriend and I’d been having some digestive troubles (I always do, no biggie) so I took a slow acting laxative so it could work when I went to the bathroom the next morning. I wake up a few hours later in EXCRUCIATING gut pain. I’ve never felt this kind of discomfort before. Turns out, the laxative mixed with the colitis I didn’t know I had gave me severe constipation. Like a herd of cattle stampeding with nowhere to go. It could’ve killed me. And I spent an hour in the bathroom trying everything to relieve myself short of using my hands. At one point I was sobbing so hard that I was silent. Like when u quietly scream cry. I finally woke my boyfriend up because he hadn’t heard me rolling around on the floor crying apparently, and had him take me to the hospital. I couldn’t sit in the car, and we were 35 minutes away from my hospital. The whole car ride I’m writhing in pain and it’s the slowest he’s ever driven. He was going the speed limit in the outside lane on the highway. When my mother went into labor, my dad fucking flew down the highway to get her to the hospital. When my mom had to take me to the hospital early one morning for my kidney stone, we saw deer in our yard and my mom got distracted and then went “OH IM SORRY WE NEED TO GO” & I was like “mom it’s deer they’re so beautiful we can wait a second” like I had a calcified 16ct rock scraping its way through my ureter and I was fine to wait. This pain was worse, I could not wait. So I get to the hospital and I’m admitted immediately and my boyfriend waits in the room with me, but only until my parents could get there because hospitals make him nervous and he needed to go. Whatever, go. Come to find out through multiple scans I had an aggressive case of colitis that yes, I made worse with the laxative. But the scan also revealed that my appendix was about to burst. They gave me something to help the colitis and took me in for emergency surgery. My parents kept my absent boyfriend updated even though he wasn’t showing much interest. I come out of surgery and I’m gonna be fine but I need to stay a few extra days to be monitored for everything. My boyfriend never visited me again while I was in the hospital. I woke up groggy to a text saying we were just in different places in life and he didn’t want to be together anymore. I just had a whole ass appendectomy and this man dumped me over text. Not twelve hours ago people cut into my body to remove an organ that was going to poison me and he just went “this seems like a good time to breakup.” And another thing like…… how can u belittle a woman’s pain like that? The colitis was the reason I decided to go to the hospital. I’d been living with appendicitis for days before this but I’ve dealt with so much pain before that full blown appendicitis felt like a lil cramp. When women are telling u that they’re in pain, they could actually just be dying. We’re like cats. When u can tell we’re not feeling good, we’re probably way worse off than u would think. I would’ve wiped this man’s ass, and he used emergency surgery as his out. He didn’t even say “hope u feel better.” Fellas, u worried about breaking up with your girlfriend? Just wait until you can shoot the text while she’s sedated in the OR. Easy peasy 😌

Tried for over an hour to persuade my BF to take me to the hospital (5min away) and he even lived with me. Eventually I asked my mom who worked all day to take me to ER that night. I eventually was told I had appendicitis and had to be transferred to a bigger hospital to have surgery. He never bothered to visit while I was in hospital. I got home and he never helped me from then on out. It was a horrible experience. Finally left him and married the love of my life.

Hearing stories like this makes me grateful for my husband. He wiped my ass when I was in labor. He stayed up for almost 72 hours when I was recovering. The nurses called me lucky because he did his part. Didn’t change a single diaper for the first week 💀

For the UTI story, my god. I’m always thankful I’m with a good person. I’ll never forget who concerned my partner was for me and how he got me to the ER quick and fought for me to be treated and heard and how he took care of me after.

52:40 he doesn’t want to end the relationship because of OP since she isn’t related but he would end his family relationship for a girl also not related 😂🧐🙄

"Is that the person you want standing next to you at their funeral?" - Sis this HIT ME. My mom just died a few months ago, and if I didn't have my boyfriend standing next to me, I don't know what I would do. I think of other boyfriends I've had and put them in that position... just no. The biggest bare minimum thing he does is believing me when I tell him how I feel, physically or emotionally.

for the second story, sudden utis in an established relationship often points to the man cheating. Our hoohas are balanced in PH so a sudden and seemingly awful UTI like that can seriously indicate to the BF being a cheaters as well as a piece of shit 😭

lol update apparently he actively cheated on her so it was definitely a direct result of that. He lived there for free and they broke up.

I currently have a UTI. I woke up last night with severe abdominal pain that’s only a bit worse than my period cramps so I forced myself to go back to sleep. It felt like I had just been punched in the gut. I woke up a few hours later with no pain. I still have no pain and it’s 11:00 am. I’ve had this uti for over a month since I can’t afford to go to the doctor yet due to overlapping bills. When I was 17-19 (20 now) I had a uti for two years straight. I can never tell because the burning pain only lasts about a day and goes away for weeks, before popping up again for only a day. When I finally got help from a gynecologist I’d never been to before, he ran blood tests and a lot of other tests to make sure I didn’t have PCOS. He was a saint. I get around 10+ UTI’s a year. Would be more if I went to the doctor after the first signs instead of holding off.
